My go to Optical
Absolutely love this. It's my standard now for all my long guns. Very well made, durable, and the tech is awesome (auto sleep, solar failsafe, shake-awake). It just works without you having to think about it. Battery life is essentially a non-issue; I've had mine mounted and running for months without issue. The multi-reticle system works well, I run the circle-dot for fast target acquisition at close range and can switch to the 2 MOA dot when I need precision. Glass clarity and size is excellent, no distortion, and the 65 MOA circle is bright and crisp even in full sun. Mounting is solid, holds zero through hard use with no drift.

Picking Real Capability Over Brand Worship
You may want to sit down for this.....I thought long and hard about this, and I couldn’t decide between the Holosun 510C or an EOTech. The prestige of an EOTech is hard to ignore. But once you actually compare them, the 510C just makes more sense. It’s lighter, the battery lasts ridiculously longer, larger window, solar panel, it can even run without a battery, and it has shake‑wake....which is the top reason in my opinion. People say the EOTech is built tougher, but then I watched a 510C abuse test. They threw it in the air 15 feet, multiple times, straight onto the ground. It kept zero. They froze it solid and defrosted it. It kept zero. (EOTech failed this test because it uses laser technology.) Then they shot it with a shotgun at 10 yards. Guess what… it still worked and kept zero. Titanium housing. If you’re telling me you need more durability than that, then your technique is clearly flawed ...it’s not the optic. I couldn’t justify paying more than twice as much just because the American military uses EOTech. Of course they use it...it’s American‑made, not because it's the best (but they are good nonetheless). I’d rather make the right choice than be a follower. I don’t mind EOTech, they’re great optics, but anyone talking smack about the 510C just because it’s not an EOTech is a follower who knows nothing and should be ignored. They’re both good, but Holosun takes the lead (unless you're using night vision). If so, ignore all this. Plus, I got the green reticle for the Florida sun...works great. It’s even basically “parallax free” like the EOTech. I’m very happy with this optic. Ukraine has been using it in real combat from my understanding. I’m not at war, and for home defense, CQB training, and range days, I’d rather have something lighter, with shake‑wake, and more than enough capability that can absolutely handle abuse. The whole “open emitter is a problem” argument is ridiculous. Show me someone who actually had an issue...and if you do find that one guy out of a million, ask him if the half‑second wipe actually mattered. If he jumped in a mud pool, his EOTech has to be wiped too. My Holosun will outlast the rest during the apocalypse, and when I can’t find a battery after 5 continuous years of operation, I’ve have the solar panel. The EOTech smack‑talkers will already be zombie food by then. In all seriousness, both are nice, but Holosun's new technology and design is currently ahead...all for half the price. It is what it is. More expensive doesn't mean better. I don't own a Gucci purse and I never will. It's a fad that gets too much credit. Only reason to get EOTech is if you must have American made...which is fine....but if you own a Samsung or drive a foreign car, then you already crossed that line. I'm looking for the best when it comes to my optic. The Holosun is great. If you weren’t considering Eotech anyways, then perfect....this one is very nice. I own several brands. Quality is much greater than price with this

Great green dot sight
Best green dot sight I own. Shake awake feature with auto on and off are the features I was looking for. I love the different reticle options and the green is highly visible. Holds zero incredibly well at 25 yds on my 9mm Pcc. Battery life is great with the solar fail safe just makes this an absolute must have for any firearm that allows for a picatinny mount. I would absolutely recommend this product.

👍🏽nice
I have been using EOtech and wanted to try an alternative. This holosun is a good product. I have it mounted to an arms and it performed well. Was able to Zero it quickly. I’m happy with the purchase and would buy again. When comparing it to my EOtech: * the sights are clearer * has a little more features, * it’s slightly smaller * looks not as heavy duty (but I’m not trying to drop or bang it around).

Great 'red' dot for Benelli M4
It has been through about 370 rounds (About 250 were bird load) in 2 days. This HE510C-GR is great overall sight. Easy to use, easy to quick mount/QD (If it ever fails). It has an Eotech style reticle which is very crisp and clear; I'm settled with the 65MOA circle only for now since it's mostly for bird and 00 bucks. Most of my other sights are green(ACOG and RMR) because I can pick up that green reticle super quick and easy. No, it doesn't lose contrast when aiming at trees, I was able to hit two skeets this afternoon when they fly into the green leaves, and the range is also surrounded by trees. The fact it is solar and battery powered are great features for my use, and the auto on/off and brightness make this sight very smart. The auto brightness only goes from your setting to the max brightness is so thoughtful (which means I can change the minimum brightness anytime). And push both buttons can turn it off if I have absolutely no need to use the sight and push anyone to awake it to the previous setting is just convenient and will help extend the super long battery life. Shotguns in general are pretty rough on the sights, I had this sighted yesterday and it held zero just fine. The titanium hood has already protected the Al body from a few light scratches. The mount is pretty solid and I did try to QD it a few times for the training and it returned to zero no problem. This sight let me use the middle position for the M4's butt stock which is nice(as the picture is shown), the full length of pull is kind long for me, the middle position gives me less felt weight and shorter overall length (which makes the aim faster and less strenuously). It just let skeet shooting more fun and relaxing, and I can teach someone totally new to shotgun super quick on how to shoot it. I mean, shoulder the gun, both eyes open, put the circle on your target, pull the trigger (safely, of course), what can be more straight forward? Especially when you have a Benelli M4 with this sight? My friend(new to guns) started hitting flying clay within 5mins from I handed him the shotgun while teaching him how to use it.
