Good, works like a charm
I got two of the 16 gb 2400 Mhz RAM and used it to upgrade the memory on the Alienware 17R4. This works like a charm and the price was also good. Recommended if you are looking to upgrade the RAM on your laptop.

Value for money
My Acer laptop came with 8GB memory pre-installed. Fortunately, Acer included 2 slots in the laptop and made it very easy to upgrade the RAM without voiding warranty. I ended up populating the laptop with 16GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM modules; one made by Samsung and the other Crucial. As far as value is concerned, the Crucial RAM cannot be beaten either in terms of price, warranty, or availability. I purchased the single DIM 16 GB for just Rs.5K. RAM prices have fallen drastically and now is the right time to upgrade the RAM on your devices. The RAM came packed safely in a stiff plastic container. Unfortunately, Crucial does not include a tamper-proof seal on the package, so you could be receiving another customer's damaged return. On my laptop, the RAM is working fine in tandem with the Samsung stick. No BSOD etc. inspite of really pushing the RAM utilization and extensive testing over the last one week. I ran a simple Crystal DiskMark test on a 26 GB RAM disk that I created using ImDisk. This means that both the RAM SODIMMs have been used for this test. The benchmark shows 5.5 GB/s sequential read and 7.7 GB/s sequential write! 5-times faster than the fasted SSD. Random Disk Read/Writes are challenging and the RAM-Drive performed amazingly too at 573 MB/sec. A conventional SATA-3 HDD does about 150 MB/s. I have created a 2 GB RAM-Drive using SoftPerfect RAM Disk and now the default Windows TEMP and TMP folders reside on the RAM drive; dramatically reducing the read/writes to the HDD. SSD owners will benefit even more as the limited Write-cycles of their drives will be preserved. Do give the review a like if it was useful to you.

Genuine product and works perfectly with my Dell Inspiron 5577 i7. I was initially worried whether it would be compatible, but it worked immediately after installation without any issues. 3D applications are running so smooth after RAM expansion.

Tldr. Works with synology ds224+
Crucial CT16G4SFD824A 16GB 2400MHz This specific model works with synology ds224+ and successfully shows up as 18gb without any error or warning. Ran a memory test via synology assistant and it was completed without issue in 7hrs.
