I ordered this as a supplement to improve my nail health. I have been struggling with brittle nails that are weak and prone to breakage and splitting. The capsules are easy to swallow and don't have a smell. I have not taken the horsetail long enough nor regularly enough to evaluate the effectiveness but horsetail is an herbal remedy for skin, hair, nail, and urinary conditions. It is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antidiabetic. It may have side effects for individuals with other conditions, so you should check any warnings associated with a herbal remedy.

Fantastic product! I've been taking this everyday for several months. 2 pills a day with water. My hair is longer and thicker. My nails have grown too! And more thick and strong. I absolutely love it!

Horsetail capsules have been the most effective thing I've tried to regrow my thinning hair and give me far more fullness! At age 75, my hair is now like it was in my 40's! I've used it for 2 years, taking 2 capsules a day with 2 meals, only on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY. This way, I don't have to take breaks for a month or more, which is usually needed with most herbs. Using this strategy, I take it 3 days a week year after year. The hair growing shampoo and conditioner I've used since 2015 were good, but this herb is even better! The combination is probably a good idea. This herb was named HORSETAIL because of how it looks growing out of the ground.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The hair growth and health was massive, i used it for two years straight and had great results.

I was diagnosed with osteopenia in late 2015 when I was 77 years old. My physician suggested I start one of the medications usually prescribed for this condition but I did a little research and came across Horsetail. I have now been taking 2 of these capsules every day, as this is one of the oldest known plants containing silica. My next bone scan in 2019 was similar to the earlier one and my new physician told me that my risk for fracture was not high enough to consider medication! I take Solaray as nothing has been added and it is pure silica encapsulated in vegetable cellulose. Do I recommend Horsetail? I can only speak for myself....and yes.....for me it worked great! And an added bonus, it also makes my hair shine and my nails have lost their ridges!
