Very good and works well . Animals get fed without worrying the hole time 3 times a day .

I had a rotary auto feeder for past couple of years and had a problem with moisture getting into the food pot , I tried pellet , flake , pellet/flake mix but always the same a nasty gooey mess at the end of a two week holiday , I saw this one and it keeps the food well away from the moisture in a clear storage pot and uses a worm screw to move the food to the tank then a flap closes over the exit As my tank is not fitted with a pre cut hole I had to use a cutter to make one so I could fit the custom plate which the main unit sits on when in use, it has a little door in the top that is shut when the unit is in the cupboard and opened before use very simple and clever the timer has a few simple steps to set up feeding times up to three a day , if like me you have a problem with moisture in the food this is the unit for you it’s not cheap but should help a lot Update Went away for a short break and used the feeder for the first time and it did it’s job well , one tiny tiny problem was that some of the pellets missed the hole in the top of the tank when exiting the feeder chute , a simple fix with a couple of bits of plastic card to make a small shield and all the pellets go into the tank now and the best thing for me at least the food stayed nice and dry

I bought this as I am sometimes unexpectedly away from home and whilst the fish can survive a day or two without food, why should they, especially if the dose they get is just right. This is very easy to set up. I put it on a dinner place to first of all prime it, fill the screw with food and check the dose on a clean bit of plate. When the feeder is mounted properly on its stand, it comes with the proper top with a trap door so you still use that when the feeder is not in position. Just one button to turn it off and when you turn it back on it just carries on the program. Its also easy to manually feed. I also particularly chose this one as, reviews say the food did not get damp which in some feeders it did, i think this is quite important especially if you away away for a few days to a week or even a fortnight, damp food would be pretty disastrous. There is an extension to the food hopper so you could have it running for quite a while. I suspect the dosing can accommodate a large well stocked tank. Obviously the more it feeds the less time it would last, but you would have to test that. Mine is currently on minimum dose but I have only just started with 5 fish. There are 2 different screw feeds, one is for flake type food the other for granules. I think it is well designed and whilst it looks a bit of a tall eyesore on top of the tank, you really only need it on when you are not in, but may spend more time in position. I didnt use the batteries it came with.If you are going to reply on one thing like this, use some decent batteries. The ones supplied like anything are the cheapest lowest power you can get.

Because I have a Juwel Aquarium I had 2 options with the Automatic feeders: Juwel Aquarium Automatic Feeder and this Smart Feeder. I chose to buy this one because the feeding portion size is digital. With my previous feeders I always have to re-adjust them after cleaning and sometimes you get it wrong. Pros: Very moisture proof so the food stays dry which is very important. Easy to set portion size and decently precise. Battery status indicator - you don't want to go on a holiday with your batteries being almost flat. It can take all type of food from pellets to flakes which makes your life easier if you have a community aquarium so you can feed all your fish with various foods in one go. On/Off button - Believe it or not this is a very useful function because on the week-ends I treat my fish with frozen food and I don't want the feeder to dispense food as well. Turning the feeder off will keep all your feeding and time settings but it will not feed which is brilliant. All you have to remember is to turn it on the next day and you are back on automatic feeding. Instant feeding button Cons: - the name is misleading as this feeder is not Smart at all. Don't get me wrong it's very good feeder and I am happy with my purchase but there is nothing "Smart" about it. - Ideally if this would be a Smart feeder, it would have a way to be controlled by phone, or at least to be able to set up feeding times per week days. A lot of manufactures promote these feeders as a holiday solution. To be honest with you, unless you have an automatic water change system , when you are on holiday you want to feed your fish as less as possible, so this function would be very useful. Feeding your fish every 2-3 days will keep the water cleaner and your fish will be better of. I can get around this issue decently easy.Because I have cats, when I am on holiday, I have somebody coming every 2-3 days to check them so they can easily press the Instant feeding button twice and that's it. - A little bit loud. - I would like to have a skip next feeding button and I don't understand why manufactures don't do that. Imagine that you want to treat your fish with some live food, or frozen food, or you want to bring them in front to show them to a guest. The On/Off button is your best friend in this case but requires to turn it on next day ...Maybe I am to lazy but I think this function would be a total success for an automatic feeder. - a little bit of the food doesn't find it's way through that feeding hole. This can be easily fixed by leaning a bit of light thin plastic on the side acting like shield.

The two clear tape seals were cut on my box, and the contents had clearly been handled as there were fingerprints on the food holder, but after a quick clean up it looked like new. Product works just as advertised, and is a definite improvement over the less expensive ‘EasyFeed’, with no issues with condensation build up. Up to three servings can be set per day, with full control over the size of the servings. A button press also enables a manual feed at any time. Set up took less than five minutes. Recommended item.

Im Paket enthalten: - Futterautomat - Batterien - Futterkammer-Erweiterung und Deckel - Förderschnecke für Flockenfutter - Förderschnecke für Granulatfutter - Schnellstartanleitung (Druckversion) - Bedienungsanleitung (beigelegte CD) - Reinigungsbürste Die Inbetriebnahme des Futterautomaten gestaltet sich dank der beiliegenden Anleitung schnell und zuverlässig. Nach dem Einlegen der Batterien wird zunächst die aktuelle Uhrzeit eingestellt. Anschließend können bis zu drei Fütterungszeiten definiert werden. Hierbei wird die Uhrzeit der gewünschten Fütterung eingestellt und anschließend die gewünschte Menge. Die Menge lässt sich hier in acht Stufen frei dosieren. Mithilfe einer Taste kann auch eine manuelle Fütterung erfolgen. Hierfür wird die Taste so oft gedrückt, bis die gewünschte Futterstufe (max. 8) erreicht ist. Kurze Zeit später beginnt der Automat mit der Ausgabe des Futters entsprechend der angewählten Stufe. Anfangs sollte diese Funktion genutzt werden um die Futterschnecke zu füllen und die einzelnen Futterstufenmengen zu testen. Für meine Anwendung genügt Stufe 3. Ich verwende sowohl Flockenfutter, als auch feines Granulatfutter. Die Mischung beider Futtersorten wird unproblematisch ausgegeben, jedoch sollte bei gröberem Granulatfutter die beigelegte Förderschnecke für Granulat verwendet werden. Die Reinigung gestaltet sich dank der leicht entfernbaren Futterschnecke und der beiliegenden Reinigungsbürste sehr einfach.

acheté en remplacement d un ancien model plus basic, je le trouve juste génial réglage simple et précis. il ne perd pas le programme au changement des piles (elle dure environ 6 mois) les aliments ne pourrissent pas a l intérieur car la trappe de sortie se referme bien toute seul et l humidité ne remonte pas dans le réservoir vendu avec tout le nécessaire de nettoyage vraiment parfait pour des granule mais assez hasardeux avec des flocons

Originally purchased it for vacation periods, but started using it for daily feeding. Easily programmable, you can set amount of food and number of feedings (up to 3 a day). It works good with crisps and granules , but not so good with flakes, even though they supply a separate part for flakes. Probably because flakes are so thin and light, they more often get pressed rather than poured for the fish, and poor things get first too little, and after a few feedings too much. So I started buying crisps and the dosing is just right. The machine makes noticeable sound, so would not recommend for bedroom.

Tutto perfetto acquario automatizzato e perfettamente funzionale. Consigliata. C è anche una girante per il cibo in scaglie, anche se secondo me con l'umidità potrebbe fare un malloppo. Cibo in granuli consigliato.
