Product Review for Amazon- HoverAir x1 white. I am a new travel blogger and content creator. I am looking for a device that allows me to take drone-like images/videos, hand-free selfies, and fancy cinematic shots without using a DLSR Camera or a powerful lens. I wasn’t sure about owning a drone as it is expensive and requires learning time. So, I opted for HoverAir x1 as my entry-level - flying selfie camera/drone. I have been using it for more than a month. Here is my feedback. What I love about this product: It is small and light. It can fit into the pocket of my yoga pants, the side of my backpack, and even my Chanel handbag. The learning curve is not steep. You can get the concept after a few trials. I like that it has a Storage Management system to keep all the shots I took; it allows me to view them before downloading them to my phone. The Flight Mode fulfills most of my needs as a new travel blogger and digital content creator. There is Hover, which allows the device to hover while I am doing something like tying my shoelace, Zoom Out, which is great for establishing shots and also for group photos, Orbit, Bird’s Eye, Dolly, and more. They are enough to keep me busy and put together an excellent 30-second video on Instagram. What is just ok about this product Microphone … it is ok. I tried using my microphone … but it didn’t sound great. So I use voice over mic via 3rd party app to edit my footage. Aerial View … I was hoping it could capture more surface, but then I realized it could fly up to 50 feet high. Battery … It needs a recharge after about ten takes when I use the camera for both taking footage and viewing what I took. I could have taken more if I hadn’t viewed the shots I took. Because this camera is light, it doesn’t do so well on windy days. It doesn't have the sensor system like a typical drone, so you can fly this in less crowded places and when the area is clear from cables, branhes, bushes etc. What can be bothersome about this product `1. It is noisy and loud. Not too lound but loud enough when I am out at 5 am to take shots or in a quiet area. Despite my complaints, I’ve gotten used to this flying camera and love it. It is not a perfect drone-like camera, but it is perfect enough for me to get footage to put on social media. It is definitely not for professionals who need a robust drone camera, but it is suitable for beginners as well as DIY digital content creators who do not want to spend a dime on cameras and drones for their social posts. Should you get it? I say yes if you are happy to be a non-professional videographer like I am.

Limited battery life: If you plan on extensive use, consider purchasing an additional battery to extend your flight time. Overall Impression: Despite a few minor hiccups, the Hover X1 is an incredible tool for capturing stunning aerial footage. It's like having your own personal flying photographer, always ready to capture the perfect shot. Tips & Tricks: Editing: I highly recommend CapCut (free or pro version) for editing your videos. It's easy to use and offers a wide range of features. Sound: If you want sound in your videos, be aware that the drone doesn't record audio. You'll need to use your phone's microphone, which can be a bit tricky. Final Verdict: If you're willing to invest a bit of time learning the ropes, the Hover X1 is well worth the investment. It's an amazing device that opens up a world of creative possibilities for capturing memories from new heights.

The HOVERAir X1 is a fantastic gadget if your primary goal is to capture yourself in motion — like walking, biking, vlogging — without having to micromanage a drone. Its strengths lie in ease of use, portability, and hands-free shooting. However, it’s not a “prosumer” drone. Don’t expect long flight time, advanced controls, or perfect shots in windy or complex environments. If you fly within its limits, it can be a fun and useful tool — especially for social media content.

FIrst impressions - Upon opening the box, the sleek design and coloring gave me confidence in its quality. Drone kit came with an extra battery + battery charging station, which is fantastic, essentially ensuring non-stop flight time. The instructions were idiot-proof; I was able to get the drone up and running as soon as it was done charging. My first flight had a small issue because I was unable to contain my excitement like a kid on xmas morning, resulting in a battery pack not completely charged. When I ACTUALLY followed the instructions, this worked great. One battery pack will allow about 15 mins in flight time and as I mentioned earlier, the charging dock will charge a secondary battery within that time frame. Drone has multiple AI modes for different situations. I admit I was running the drone indoors (the instructions do recommend going outside) that created some limitations. Favorite modes: Orbit Mode - drone circles around you within a 5 ft radius. Follow Mode - self explantory, drone follows you around (this freaked my dog out lol) Birds-eye mode - this one requires a 16 ft empty space above. the video I uploaded is from this mode. and best for my last MANUAL MODE!!!! Once I figured out how to access the manual controls (through the app on your phone), this was incredibly easy to use. I have flown different drones in the past with controls that were clunky and difficult to use for beginners. The manual controls on this one are again idiot-proof for someone like me. Super manageable to learn which I greatly appreciated. (screenshot of the Manual controls in review) Editor's note: my cat tried to attack the drone in mid-air, beware the jumps on kitties! All in all, I think this is a great product, especially for older kids as well. It's overall utility is astounding - my friend was thinking about using it to take shots of certain hard-to-get-to areas of properties he manages. I highly recommend this product for anyone!

Do not buy!!!! While operating in orbit mode wow in proximity approximately 50 feet from the water it lost its orbit and began to go out over the water at a height of approximately 20 feet once over the water began to lose altitude rapidly causing the drone to splash down in approximately 40 feet of water. I was unable to recover the drone. I did not operate over water. I did not operate in any sort of wind conditions, The sky was cloud covered. There was no rain and the battery was full. This was the second time I had ever used the drone. I was really looking forward to having this.

I picked up the HOVERAir X1 Drone with Camera because I wanted something small and simple for quick videos without carrying a full drone setup. After using it a few times, I’m really impressed with how much tech they packed into such a tiny device. First impressions Right out of the box, the drone feels very well built and thoughtfully designed. It folds down extremely compact, and setup is basically nonexistent — unfold it, choose a mode, and it launches from your hand. I included a video of unfolding the drone so you can see how compact it is and how quickly it’s ready to go. Size & portability This thing is much smaller than I expected, which makes it really easy to carry around. The photos I attached show the size compared to my hand so you can get a realistic idea of how portable it is. It’s the kind of drone you can throw in a bag and take anywhere. Video & audio quality For such a small drone, the video quality is surprisingly sharp and stable. The stabilization works really well and the footage looks smooth. I was also surprised that the audio quality captured in the videos is actually pretty clear, which I didn’t expect from something this small. What comes in the box I added a photo of everything included in the package, which makes it easier to see exactly what you receive when ordering. Things I like ✔ Extremely easy to use (no controller required) ✔ Very compact and travel-friendly ✔ Smooth stabilized video ✔ Good tracking modes ✔ Clean and simple design A couple things to keep in mind • Because it's lightweight, strong wind can affect it • Like most small drones, battery life isn’t super long Overall If you’re looking for a simple, portable flying camera rather than a complicated drone setup, this is a really cool option. It’s fast to launch, easy to carry, and great for capturing quick moments. Saw this on You Tube first and we ordered it to take with us to a Deep Creek trip. We have never owned a drone of any kind. It is simple to operate and takes excellent quality video or camera still shots as well! Unfortunately we couldn't use it much on our trip as it was rainy and the battery is not a fan of water or moisture so it recommended you not exposing it to that but we used it at home. Indoors and out as demonstrated in the videos. You simply download the recommended app to your phone have it up and running when you turn the drone on and program to whichever mode you prefer. Try them all literally without 0 experience we had it out of the box and filming in minutes!! We ordered an extra battery in addition to the two batteries that came with it as they only last about 10 min. each that way theres always one charged to go in drone. I'm still learning alot about the settings and how they can be manipulated on the app. but watch you tube videos to manage initially under HoverAir Self flying camera and you're all set. Can't wait for holiday photo sessions to transfer to projects and or printable form. For under $500 it's well worth it to us! Great family vacation camera or just around home without a selfie stick or props to follow you! PRETTY COOL!!! Also the customer service at zerozerorobotics was spot on after having a propeller issue and broke one they sent us a new one with video and tutorial to replace it and its now working just fine. We appreciate their timely communication in emailing back and forth with direction as to what to do step by step and its working just fine again. Thank you zero robotics for helping us get it back in the air. Now on to filming again!! Make sure your phone is on and volume up to pick up sound as we don't have a microphone separate for sound yet.

In ca. 10 Sekunden (hat ein wenig Bootzeit) ist die Drone flugbereit, und die 6 Standardflugmodi sind in meisten Fällen mehr als genug um schnell eine super Aufnahme zu erzeugen. Diese kann man dann (via Handy app und wifi auf der Drohne) aufs Handy runterladen. Man kann die Drohne auch via Handy / Manual mode steuern, dann sieht man am Handy die Kamera im Livebild, und kann alle Richtungen individuell steuern (vor/zurück, hoch/runter, links/rechts, links drehen/rechts drehen, Kamera hoch/runterkippen). Allerdings ist in diesem Modus der Akku schnell leer. Der Wifistream und die Fernbedienung verbrauchen ganz schön viel Akku. (max. 8-10 Minuten in diesem Modus, wobei gute 15Min. wären im Follow-me Modus wo einem die Drohne hinterläuft).

Dejó de funcionar pero me han devuelto el importe íntegro , volveré a comprar otro ya que la verdad que la calidad de imagen es buena y es muy cómodo de utilizar, aunque lo único que me gustaría es que tuviera más capacidad cada batería para que pudiera volar más tiempo, pero yo compré una batería portátil para recargar mientras una estaba utilizándose la otra se cargaba. Lo recomiendo, espero que el próximo me funcione correctamente.

If your looking to simplify those crazy drone shots you see well om your adventure or just in your backyard this is the drone (flying camera) for you. Complete ease of use. The AI does it all including the ability to handle wind, it's actually quite amazing I highly recommend for simplicity but quality. No stress no big ordeal to get that amazing shot. UPDATE : LISTEN TO THE INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT FLY OVER WATER. I RECENTLY TRIED TO GET A OVER OCEAN SHOT ON A TRIP TO CENTRAL AMERICA. IT LOST CONTROL FLEW ABOUT 100FT OUT AND NOSE DIVED INTO THE OCEAN. VERY EXPENSIVE LOSS.

Like many people who have reviewed this device, I already have a number of bigger, pricier, DJI drones, so I was like 'Why do I need this?' But it was on sale, with free returns, so I thought 'What the heck, why not try it out?' And I am SO glad I did!! Basically, this little drone will fly ANYWHERE. It's not covered by drone restrictions (because it weighs practically nothing!), you can literally carry it in your pocket, so it's always available, and you can have it up, take the shot and have it down and back in your pocket in less than the time it usually takes me to get my DJI drones switched on and finding a GPS signal! And the image quality, for something so small, is OUSTANDING! Stable, clear and amazing resolution - I was SO impressed by it! I took it Airsofting with me last weekend (where grown men run around in the woods shooting each other with plastic pellets - it's a thing: deal with it!) and the fact that I could just carry it round with me 'in the field' and have it up and down again in under a minute, if needed, meant that I got some excellent in-game shots, while still being able to play the game (something which I can't do if I'm filming with my other drones - there's no way I'm lugging a Mavic 4 around and trying to get THAT up and filming while people are peppering me with plastic BBs!) Needless to say - I will NOT be taking advantage of the 'free return' option! Oh, and just a word on the Hover Air customer service: it's top notch! I had an issue with the charger in the bundle that I got in the sale, and all Amazon could offer me was a refund for the whole package - Hover Air though sorted the problem in record time, so HUGE thanks to Jane over there: you were ace! Seriously though: if you have ANY interest in drones, be you a long-time addict like me, or someone just thinking about giving one a try, get yourself an X1: you'll be VERY glad you did! Final note: I do have a couple of videos to put up that I filmed with the X1, but currently their high resolution and corresponding file size causes my Amazon app to crash every time I try to add them, so I'll stick them up in due course if I can figure out how to make them smaller...!
