Is this a winter coat , in new york winter this year will be insane, i need to know is this coat prep is for the cold winter season?

It matters if you tend to be a cold sensitive person. This is a very warm coat. Thick and warm. For the money, it’s a nice winter coat. Ohio winters are brutal and I am out everyday in it. No issues.

What's the difference between Medium & medium regular?

I wondered the same thing myself. I don't have a freaking clue. I purchased the Medium, and it fit perfectly. I'm 5'8" 145 pounds.

Are the pockets lined with any insulation?

Thank you for requesting information regarding the Eddie Bauer Men's CirrusLite Down Jacket . The pockets are not lined. Brenda W. Eddie Bauer Customer Service.
