Lace Front Wig Tape 3/4 Inch x 3 Yard Roll – Waterproof Double Sided Hair Tape for Wigs and Hairpieces, Ultra Strong Hold Adhesive

I use a similar product with a red liner for making 3-D projects with paper. However, that tape is only 1/4" wide. I needed a wider tape, so I selected this one. Much like the red line tape, this tape is designed for holding hair. However, due to the strong hold, it's excellent in the craft room. I like this wider 3/4" width for my projects. I found it fairly easy to remove the backing once the tape was adhered to my paper and then when I attached another piece of paper, it had a permanent hold. That is just what I needed to create 3-D projects, like buildings, out of paper. I do think that this tape seems thicker than my usual one. It still works, but I would prefer it to have a little less bulk.

This lace front wig supertape is an easy and fast way to get your wig to stay on for a few days. The adhesive is double sided, effective at holding the wig to the scalp. My scalp is not irritated or itchy. I It’s best to put the tape on the wig first before putting the wig on. Once the wig is on pressing the tape will keep the wig on. The tape doesn’t have any strong scent, it’s odorless, stretchy and secure. I’m not sure how long the tape will last. It’s been about 12 hours since I tape it to my wigs and so far it’s still feels secure. Overall it’s a good tape, it’s fast, non messy and secure.

Good wig tape with an impressively strong hold! It adheres well without feeling overly stiff or uncomfortable on the skin, and once applied it stays put through normal daily wear. I also appreciate that it remains fairly flexible, so it moves naturally instead of creating tension or pulling. Application is straightforward and the tape cuts cleanly without fraying, which makes customizing placement easy. Removal takes a bit of care due to the strength, but that is expected for a long wear adhesive like this. Overall, a reliable option if you want a secure hold and minimal maintenance. Highly recommend!

I was eager to test out this skin-safe tape for a couple of alternative purposes (I don't wear a wig or other kind of hairpiece). The 1st of those is that I have a tiny but deep cut on the tip of the thumb of my dominant hand that had been driving me crazy for 2 weeks because it was impossible to keep a band-aid on it, no matter what I rigged up for myself, and the cut was still hurting. The 2nd reason I wanted to try this tape was because my cat is in a similar situation, with a boo-boo on his chin that he keeps re-opening when he eats or grooms himself with his rough tongue. So I wanted to use this tape to help keep bandages on both of us. In my photos you can see what I tried on my thumb: a mini square band-aid, a few layers of this waterproof wig tape over that, and then a larger rectangular band-aid on top for further protection. The tape was awkward to cut and wound up sticking to itself at every opportunity, preferring to clump up instead of staying obediently on its backing sheet. It also left a sticky residue on my scissors that needed to be scrubbed off with detergent. The upshot was that the band-aids stayed on overnight but that washing my hair and doing dishes the next day undid everything: the inner thumb-cap of tape was still sticking, but the outer layer of tape I had used to seal the larger band-aid didn't work. Based on that experience, I've decided that the tape isn't appropriate to use on my cat's chin because, depending on where I placed it, it would either pull his hair or else it would tear the delicate skin I'm trying to keep covered.
