Comfytemp Hip Ice Pack Wrap for Hip Pain Relief, Sciatica, Blue (S/M)

This ice pack has been an absolute game changer during my recovery from major hip surgery! It stays cold for well over an hour, providing long-lasting relief when I need it most. This is a perfect ice pack: It gets very cold but stays flexible fresh out of the freezer so it won’t hurt the incision line. It gets much colder than the traditional one-size-for-all-surgeries hospital ice pack I received. It’s big: post op day one my entire hip ached (into my groin, down my leg, around to my buttock). This ice pack hits ALL of these areas at once! The cold really helps. It can be hard to secure around your leg at first but I got the hang of it quickly & could do it independently after the first time. The Velcro works so well. It holds the pack in place AND is easy to adjust if you need to reposition it. The design allows for pretty good range of motion with post op exercises. The cold really does help with the pain & enables you to do the exercises as often as you’re supposed to. It’s cold, NOT wet: There’s nothing to leak - it’s gel, nit liquid & it doesn’t “sweat” as it warms up. I secured it over hospital scrub bottoms: no wet spots & my skin didn’t get too cold. I’m ordering another to swap out so I always have a “cold one”!

Good cold wrap that lasts for the recommended time. Great for inflamation pain relief. Folds easily to fit in freezer. Covers hip upper IT band, glutes and part of low back, shifts easily to cover. Molds to your shape within minutes . Size is true, elastic reaches around well and velcro holds. Has not leaked over almost daily use 3 weeks. This was a good purchase. I used it on left side, it would be easier to fasten if used right side. Easy to walk around in, or lay down with.

The Comfytemp Hip Ice product works very well.. When I Use The Hip Ice Product, I Normally Get Constant Pain Relief.. The Product Is Reversible Regardless Which Side Is Inflamed.. I'm Glad I Purchased It.

Husband just had hip replacement surgery. We had an ice machine that someone let us borrow to help with the constant need for cold therapy to reduce inflammation, but it honestly was more effort, hassle, and took up more space in our home to deal with. So we tried this hip ice wrap and can say it is every bit as effective in delivering the needed cold therapy. In fact, my husband thinks it's giving a deeper cold. Ice pack on for 20-30 minutes, then to the freezer to be ready for the next session in about an hour. Note: The initial freeze period took a little longer, and if you forget and leave it on until it's warm, it may take a good hour to get back to its optimal state. Order 2 if you think that better suits your need for more frequent rotations. Again, we have found this to be an EXCELLENT way to recover. The velcro straps are VERY strong, they hold firmly in place. It's shape naturally contours around his hip and upper thigh. Size: He is 5'9", weighs a little over 200 lbs. and we bought the M/L. One other thought. We also have a flat ice gel pack that is about 10" x 13" or so... we have found that at times when he is in reclined position, it's easier to grab that one, place it in a pillow case, and then I can gently tuck the short end under his hip, and wrap it up around and over his front, then secure the loose end of pillow case with a bed pillow over top. I only say this because at times, he didn't want to stand up to more easily put this Comfytemp Hip Ice pack on, so having an alternative flat one has been helpful.

Works well as an ice pack. Does not fit well to wear--too uncomfortable and it doesn't hold well with the straps. Taken out of freezer, it's stiff and not easily shaped to the body. On the other hand, it does provide cold very well; I use it flat and it works ok for me.

Fits perfectly. Very easy to adjust and put on. Very comfortable. You forget you’re wearing it. Doesn’t move at all. I bought a second one and I rotate between them. Highly recommend.

I couldn't stand, sit or lie down before using this product. Using as a cold pack, nice snug fit that relieves the pain in minutes. Great to use when exercising, walking etc.
