This delicious Deep Blue Buttercream Icing by Chef Alan Tetreault, flavored with Alan's Bridal Blend, is a high quality, PHO-Free, great tasting buttercream that is perfect for layer cakes, wedding cakes, cupcakes, iced cookies and brownies. This icing works great as a base coat under rolled fondant icing or to use for buttercream iced cakes and cupcakes. For best results, mix icing on low speed until smooth and creamy. To create a firmer icing to pipe flowers & borders, add 1/2 to 3/4 cup powdered sugar to 16 ounces of icing and beat on low speed until smooth. To extend icing and add an even richer homemade flavor, blend in 4 tablespoons of semi-soft butter per 16 ounce container along with 1 cup of powdered sugar.. 16 Ounce re-closable plastic tub.
