Purchased for my daughter’s room and it was perfect. It was easy to zip the mattress in myself, the protector itself has labeling to guide you as to which side should be where and all. Her mattress is comfortable and of great quality, I wanted to be sure she had additional protection with this protective cover. Excited to say I am satisfied with the quality, it was well worth the price as the top part of the protector can zip right off for a quick wash. It is summer and her mattress feel cool enough to be comfortable. It isn’t as thick as I thought it would be but that is ok.

BEST mattress cover I’ve ever bought! I have a standard king size mattress 12 inches deep with a minimal pillow top. I was able to install this by myself in less than 10 minutes! The fit is perfect with no sagging due to the ruching in the corners. Highly recommend this for the value and functionality. 5+ ⭐️

ACTUALLY WATERPROOF!! I’ve tried several bed covers that claim to be waterproof but are not when put to the test. My dog is getting older, tonight she peed on my 2 month old $1500+ mattress. Thank god I had this cover on it. It takes little time to get it on the mattress correctly, but once it’s on, unzipping the top layer to wash is very simple. I will be ordering one for my guest bedroom right now. Comfortable, works well for allergies as far as I can tell, great value!!

Mattress cover top feels thick and soft. The portion that goes underneath and partly up the sides of the mattress is more of a plastic type material. Having the cover in two parts is a great advantage. You may need help lifting the mattress up and moving it around to put the bottom part on. The top section zips up well for part of the way. This was a 12-in mattress, and the cover ended up fitting really tightly. I had to struggle to get the zipper all the way around. Though the zipper itself is metal, the teeth are plastic, and I had to take care to keep the two sides held together to zip it up. Deducted one star for the zipping difficulty.

I have awful allergies (dogs, mold, dust mites, pollen etc) and I got a new mattress that’s on a low rise bed for my dogs so they don’t have to jump. I did a ridiculous amount of research before purchasing a mattress encasement and some of the negative reviews on here scared me but I can say I’ve already noticed a huge difference in maintaining my allergies. Some people said it was noisy or uncomfortable but my husband and I didn’t notice this ever/at all. Overall Great value for the money and was easy to put on a 10 inch mattress. I also didn’t notice a smell like others have mentioned. I haven’t tested if it’s waterproof or not but that’s not really a concern of mine.

We bought three of these, one King and two Full, for three new 14-inch mattresses (Novaform 14” ComfortGrande Advanced Gel Memory Foam Mattress, a Wirecutter recommendation). We were able to get the mattress protector onto the King mattress, though it was very difficult and took two people the better part of an hour. (Don't even try it with only one person.) The two Full protectors, however, were abysmal failures. The zipper pull on one of the Full-size protectors came off in my hand when we were first putting the protector onto the mattress. There was no stress on it; it just came off. I could not get it back on the track. The second Full-size protector proved to be much too small for the mattress and could not nearly be closed. Although Wirecutter’s recommendation says that the protector “fits mattresses up to 17 inches deep (in queen)”, it could not come close to closing on the 14-inch Full mattress. Then, when I gave up (believe me, I tried everything, for a long time) and tried to get the partly-closed protector off the mattress, the zipper pull “ate” the fabric on either side of the zipper and I could not release it. As a result, I had to carefully peel the partly-closed, unmoveable protector off the mattress, going around the corners. A major selling point of these protectors is that the top zips off so it’s easy to wash. Having gotten the protector onto the King mattress, we’ll keep it but will probably never zip the top off for fear of not being able to put it back after washing (to say nothing of the unreliable quality of the zippers themselves). We are returning the remains of the two Full-size protectors. This is one of the few times I have been deeply disappointed with a Wirecutter recommendation, but these items are poorly made and just do not fit.

This is literally the best mattress protector I've ever used. Once you get it on it's super easy to take off and wash. The top layer is super thick and soft, it doesn't feel plasticky or crunchy at all. I got my entire family to buy these they're amazing and worth the price!

I have an Avocado Organic Luxury Plush mattress, which is both very deep (about 18") and very heavy, so I needed a mattress protector with a zip-off top for easy washing since moving this mattress around is, to put it politely, an ordeal. While some reviews mentioned that the protector was not deep enough for their mattress, I was able to make it fit by compressing the mattress slightly while pulling up the side and zipping the top on (I had an assistant help me with the entire process, and my very strong recommendation is that you do the same if your mattress is heavy and floppy). There is a specific leading motion you will need to make with your finger in front of the zipper as you stretch and zip so it doesn't catch on the sealing flap, but it's really easy to do once you figure it out. The sizing was perfect and the sides are very stretchy and seem durable (they survived all my tugging, anyway), the zipper operates smoothly, and the top has a nice quilted effect that makes it feel a little less plastic-y. Since it is waterproof and mite-proof, it isn’t especially breathable and does have a little of that plastic crinkle, and I think the mattress feels a little warmer as a result (which I love, but a hot sleeper might not!). I feel my dust mite allergy calming down already - highly recommended!
