Great quality
I was pleasantly surprised to find this magnifying glass is actually very good quality. A robust plastic frame, what seems to me to be a glass lens and two quite strong magnets. The magnets really are strong and it won't move once you stick it on the fridge. I did not expect the magnets to be so strong. Although sticking it to the fridge door was not quite what happened with us. This is where I discovered we had a problem. To my surprise, my seven year old kitchen has wooden doors, not metal doors. I'd never noticed before and now, when I think about it, that explains why we never had fridge magnets over the years. If I was going to stick this on the fridge then it would have to be inside the fridge, and folk would laugh at you if anyone found that out. My wife discovered that it sticks like glue to the microwave. I wasn't too sure that it would be safe with all these microwaves. It might go on fire. Another suggestion was to stick it to the metal on the kitchen lights, and that would work - if I needed to use it, but it would be too high for my wife to reach. Another place we tried was on the washing machine but the wooden door wouldn't close properly. Having exhausted every other possibility, that left just one last place. The cooker hood. The cooker hood is also metal and the magnifying glass sticks very tightly. It sticks so tightly that there's no vibration when you have the hood switched on. And so it resides to this day. It looks odd, when a visitor sees the kitchen and points it out, but I went for red as we have red, black and white tiles around the kitchen and it kind-off fits in. We have a lovely red bin and anyone looking at it would wonder why you wouldn't attach the magnifying glass to the bin. What friends don't realise is that the expensive red bucket is actually very realistic metalic looking plastic. It looks silly, where it lives but you certainly get quite used to it and don't even notice it. Perhaps, there may be a time when you need the magnifying glass and you can't think where you put it. My advice, make sure you have a fridge that accomodates magnets on the outside. Besides our wee problem, I have to say that it's a quality purchase at a fair price and this will last forever, depending what you stick it to. You might wonder why we don't just stick it in one of the kitchen drawers, and that is certainly a favourable solution. However, in my household, it doesn't work. Quite simply, my wife would lose it. The drawer is where we were meant to always keep it, alongside screwdrivers, hammers, nails, pliars and mole grips. Unless you were using it, you should always be able to find what you need in the drawer. That sounded so simple and a perfect solution. But no, I used to find it on the mantlepiece, sometimes in the bathroom, in the car park next to her space once and several times in the garden shed. Once, of all places, and after we spent almost a fortnight looking out for it, we found it, inside a wellington boot. And it was sheer luck I found it. If I hadn't had to empty the cupboard to search through all my wife's junk, looking for a screwdriver, I wouldn't have found it for months. Have things improved? You may well ask. Quite simply, no, things have not improved. She lost our old one and we haven't stumbled over it and I've just given up. When we find it, at least we have a spare and that could find a home in the barren magnifying glass and screwdriver storage drawer. And that's the reason why I had to end up buying a new one. So, after much consideration, including a search on Aldi and Poundland websites, I bought this one. If I could ban my wife from touching it, I would, but she sometimes needs it when she's making my dinner. I can easily keep an eye on her by always looking at the cooker hood every time I go to the kitchen. If you can pin her down quickly, there's a dim possibility that she will remember where she left it.

Nicely made and very useful
A great size, not too big but big enough top be really useful. Good quality lens, nicely moulded handle and frame and two magnets on the handle make it easy to store for convenient use.

Very useful and always to hand.
Useful in the kitchen as many food items have very small instructions for my 92 year old mum to read. Good magnification and nice bright colour. Stays put very well on the fridge door. Good service from the seller.

Very useful kitchen aid
This is brilliant. I keep mine on the side of the microwave rather than the fridge and use it most days. I am so pleased with it that I have bought several more to give to friends.

I love this! Magnetic magnifying glass to read small labels - attach to fridge!
Great product! Magnetic magnifying glass to keep on my fridge so I can read instructions in small letter on packets and read recipes etc. I have been waiting for someone to have the excellent idea of a magnifying glass I can grab quickly and am unlikely to lose. Thank you! I bought the red-framed one - looks great on my fridge. Might buy another for use in another room. My close up vision not as good as it used to be - no more scrabbling to find my reading glasses.

Must be better products, not bad for price
Not sure if it’s my eyes or the product, not what I expected.

VERY HANDY
Just what I needed to see the tiny print on jars and packets. It's a fridge magnet, so handy to keep close to hand in the kitchen, except my fridge is integrated. For this reason I would have liked it to have come with a protective cover... hence only 4 stars. Otherwise very happy

So useful
Reaching middle age when eye sight starts to deteriorate but not totally reliant on glasses this magnifier saves time rather than me stomping around the house cursing that I can't find my glasses. A must for every home as I swear the instructions, allergy info and ingredients list on packaging gets smaller and smaller.

Bin begeistert.
