Six months in and this laptop is everything and more. I run a virtual small tax preparation service from this laptop. It runs fast under every condition I have put it under. I have had 3 desktops with 100 Chrome tabs open with CRM software running (because I hate it o close tabs I might need) and still been able to join a Zoom session while I have my tax software going. Laptop has a durable metal like casing and keyboard has a natural feel. I love that the keyboard back lighting has two settings, bright and low, which can save battery usage when not plugged in. The only thing that bothers me a bit is hearing the fan when I am multitasking. I never heard the fan on my 2022 Lenovo L15 and guess I got used to the quiet operation. When I close some things on this T16 the fan stops. Overall great laptop.

I have been using Lenovo ThinkPads for more than 20 years. Until now I have always bought them used. I did a lot of research before deciding to take the plunge and buy this new T16. I am very happy with my purchase. I ordered a Lenovo ThinkPad T16 (Intel i7-1270P VPro, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD). The seller, Issaquah Highlands Tech, provided flawless service. I received the laptop within 48 hours after I ordered it (shipped from NY to Oregon), it works flawlessly, and the the seller included an extra 8 GB of RAM for free. (I ordered a laptop with 32 GB RAM and they sent me one with 40 GB RAM). One point worth noting: later this summer, the 2nd Generation of the T16 will be released, so if you want the absolute best T16 out there, you might want to delay your purchase. In my case I couldn't wait, so I went ahead with the T16 Gen 1. I have zero regrets.

I purchased this laptop in April to replace my PC which was old. I have waited until now after I have used it for a while before writing this review. This is a very good laptop. The performance is great and it is easy to move around as it is too heavy. It's extremely easy to use and I am very happy with this purchase.

The laptop gets me 3 hours max before the battery dies. According to Lenovo and common sense this is a problem (less than a month old). I use this for work, no games, no movies, no music, just spreadsheets and emails. Very minimal. My 7 year old Lenovo still gets me 5+ or so hours. The laptop also freezes regularly and requires a shut down. Not what you’d expect from a laptop with this price tag. This has already become such a hassle. Update: I have to return it because my return window is approaching. This morning I couldn’t even get it to power off when it froze. Once it did, I couldn’t get it back on. I’ve spent countless hours dealing with issues from this purchase. The seller has been late to respond and hasn’t offered any level of support. I’ve paid IT people to transfer things from my old one and now I will have to do it all again. This was the worst tech purchase I’ve had. I go on a business trip tomorrow so terrible timing.

The price of this unit is great. Especially compared to comparable new units, Gen 3. My issue is after reviewing the Lenovo Vantage app I discovered the warranty on this unit is expired. So it's clearly not 'new'. I ended up purchasing a warranty from Lenovo which now makes the unit's price far less attractive. And the warranty doesn't take effect for 30 days. Fingers crossed something doesn't go wrong in the next 30 days.

this laptop is AMAZING! superfast, it opens stuff almost before you get a chance to click, the screen is tall, its squarer than the usual widescreen. the audio is good, the copilot (AI) is pretty amazing also i must say. Bluetooth connects seamlessly. only 2 USB ports, but it has 2 thunderbolt ports too. HDMI and the coolest old school thing-the 1/8 input for headphones out (or mic) would be cool if you could record line in also, haven't tried that
