Is the stopper just a sphere or does it have something protruding from it? The picture makes it look like it has something sticking out of the bottom.

Hello, thank you for your interest in Ravenscroft Crystal. To answer your question, the stopper is a sphere with a flat bottom.

How much wine does it hold? A whole bottle?

Hello Melissa, thank you for your interest in Ravenscroft Crystal. The Vintner's Choice decanter can hold 64.5 ounces, which is equivalent to two bottles of wine.

Is the glass ball rubberized or is it just a ball?

It's a glass ball... no rubber to be found.
