Ground Rod Protector

Not much to say about it. It is good. We have had it for a few months now, and it keeps us from accidentally hitting the buried ground rod while mowing and weed-eating. It sticks up a little bit out of the ground.

I don't understand the negative reviews. This product works perfectly. The protector is made to be placed over the top of a buried grounding rod. This cover helps to protect lawn equipment from coming into contact with the portion of rod/cable that is above ground level. This cover also shows any person walking in that area the exact location of the grounding hardware so as not to trip over it. It's not rocket science.

It was nice to find that a quality(steady) product was made to cover a ground rod.

I recently had solar installed and the city required two grounding rods. Because of distance requirements one was installed about eight inches from the house. I have very hard soil (needed a 10lb sledge to get the ground rod in) and about 2 inches of the rod needed to be above the ground to pass inspection. I was worried that this device would not be strong enough to get all the way into the ground but it is very strong and stiff. Just the cap remains above the ground and it does a good job of protecting the lawn mower and people walking in the area.

Did not work for what I needed it for. I wanted to cover a metal rod in my yard but it was way too small to cover.

Awesome, easy to see it so my toddler or I don't trip over it. Made of thick plastic and didn't break as I used the rubber hammer to put it in the ground
