soundcore A20i

I got these to replace my older generation Soundcore ear buds that I used for over 5 years. These are very similar to what I had before with some upgrades. This pair recharges with USB-C which is so much faster than the micro USB. The ear buds come with 3 different sized buds depending on the size of your ears. Keep in mind that these insert into your ears and there are no support around your ears. Pros: very clear audio with different sounds settings with the Soundcore app. With my old buds I only had one music setting. These come with multiple presets you can choose from. The buttons have different functions you can set with the app. Single tap, double tap, and hold for each ear bud can trigger a different action. Cons: the case only has a single light so it’s hard to tell the charging progress. Ear buds just beep once when connecting. The older model would say it is connected and state the battery level. Overall I have enjoyed using these and are great for my gym workouts. I don’t do active running so I have not had issues with the bugs buds falling out. Great performance at a great price.

These are probably the best deal going for a set of quality yet affordable earbuds. I've purchased a couple sets of these for personal use, the first set in 2023 and another set (because I lost one earbud) and in 2024. I use these daily. I normally only use one earbud at a time because I wear them while working, cleaning, outdoor activities, etc. The sound quality of these is pretty great. Good bass and clear highs that aren't harsh. I have earbuds that sound better but the cost 10x as much. I listen throughout the day and these will last all day for my needs. Battery life seems to be around 8-9 hours for moderate use. I know some say that these aren't that durable, but these earbuds literally live inside my pocket with no case, the same pocket that carries my knife , change, and other small items. I've dropped them, had them fall out of my ear, slept with them, sweated with them in, lost them in the couch, kicked them across the floor, and used them in the pool (not under water). I've never had one fail on me. The only reason I bought a second pair, is that I lost one of the first pair I bought. They are also super comfortable in the ear. No hot spots and I almost forget they are in there. he only complaint that I have is that I wish the recharging case had a little bit larger battery capacity. You can recharge the ears buds 2-3 time before the battery in the case needs to be recharged. It would be nice to get at least 5 recharges from the case.

Note: At the time of purchase there was a $10 off coupon available for this product. Other than that, I received no compensation for the purchase or review of this product. TL;DR: You can't go wrong with this price. If you're on the fence between these and a more expensive pair, do yourself a favor. Keep some money in your pocket and pick up a pair of these. It has a few shortcoming for my personal use, but those things may not matter to all users. Either way, the price justifies the lack of these features. I have been using Tozo earbuds for almost a decade now. They were easily my favorite cheap brand to purchase. I have also been using Anker chargers for about the same length of time. Anker acquired TaoTronics a few years ago, whose over-the-ear headphones I had used in the past. Last year, we purchased some Anker over-the-ear headphones and I was immediately impressed with thier quality rivaling some of the leading brands at a fraction of the price. I feel exactly the same about these earbuds. Case - The case is very small and discreet. Since my last pair of Tozo buds died, I had been using the PlayStation Pulse earbuds. That case is extremely bulky and barely fits into a pocket. It's so nice to be back in a small form case. This case is even smaller than the Tozo buds I used to use. It comes equipped with a small "leash." Honestly, it's so small I can't see it being used for much. I prefer a long lanyard that hangs out of my pocket. You may be able to get it around a purse or bag strap so that they can be secured to it. Charging: The case uses a standard USB-C charger. It is located on the back of the unit which can actually cause some instability while charging so they may not want to stand up straight. A very minor detail, but I figured it was worth mentioning. I really wish they had put wireless charging on this case, but the USB-C port seems to be pretty sturdy so I don't see it being an issue anytime soon. Audio - The audio quality is great. Unless your a huge audiophile, you won't notice the difference between these and most high-end earbuds. If anything, they are a little heavier on the bass than the other brands I'm used to. 3D audio isn't the best. I listen to a lot of podcasts. The PlayStation buds are engineered for gaming so they focused a lot on spatial audio making podcasts very immersive with feeling like you are surrounded by what is going on. These Anker buds don't come close to replicating that environment, but the audio quality is still great, and I would rather carry these around for day-to-day usage. Buttons: The buttons are available in two "modes" depending on if you are using one earbud or two. With only one earbud, you can pause/play, answer calls, and decline calls. With two buds in, you can do all that in addition to skipping tracks. I mostly use earbuds while working with only one earbud in. I really wish they had added the track skip feature with a single bud. I also wish they had added a volume control on the bud itself. The buttons are a touch pad on the earbud itself. No physical buttons. Unfortunately, I prefer the physical buttons, especially since no swipe features were added, the use of a touchpad seems unnecessary. I have not fully tested the range of these yet, but I did walk two rooms away from my phone (about 20-30 feet and two brick walls) and the connection didn't stutter at all. Amazon is suggesting I mention the color in my review. They're black. It's black. Great job? What do you want?

Battery life is longer than 9 hours. I got them at 630pm charged em for maybe n hour put em on around 730ish and fell asleep with em in and they were at 10% at 10am the next morning. I'm really impressed with the battery life and the fact that I can use either my right or left earbud by themselves and that function isn't only for the right one was a very nice surprise because I use them while at work and can only typically use 1 at a time so when one dies I can just use the other. Haven't bought a pair that does that yet so it's new to me. I enjoy the sound quality and noise cancelling. The sound quality in my honest opinion isnt crazy out of this world but it is really decent. I'm actually impressed by these little things I love the way they fit in my ears, I was contemplating getting over the ear ones because of the way in the ear ones feel and fall out but these ones fit really nicely n snug in my ears so it adds a decent element to the noise cancelling. I love the app and that I can choose what each bud does for the tapping feature. Love the white noise options and how clear the phone calls are. Honestly a W for the price and the quality. You really cannot go wrong for $20. I highly recommend if your on the fence about it these are a solid choice for real. Update 3 weeks later Both still work perfectly. I found the battery life is just insane. I start wearing them around 7am and don't get the "soundcore buds battery at 10%" alert until literally 9 or 10pm. I also found that I can leave my phone inside take my dogs outside and they don't disconnect. Really sweet range and I have not had one single sound glitch or issue at all. For $20.. I'm incredibly happy with these. Usually with other earbuds I've bought for $40 or more the left one dies within the first week. I end up having glitches and the range is always dog shxt. I barely walk out the door and they disconnect and the battery life seems to die on the other ones more each week. It's like I can wear them n hour less and now they barely last 2 hours and takes forever to charge only 3 months of having them. I'd say the soundcore earbuds blow the more expensive ones out the water. The charging case charges quickly and hold charge incredibly well. I maybe have charged them 3x. If you drain em til dead and charge the case for like 10-20 mins they'll last you til the next day it's crazy. I Highly recommend you literally cannot beat the quality for the price. Update Sept. 2025 5months later. Everything above still applies. Both buds still work and I way overwork these things. I'm not exaggerating when I say I have an earbud in more in a 24 hour period then I do not my wife constantly tells me how horrible it is for my ears to wear them and fall asleep with them in the way I do lol and I only charge them once a day, I could probably go once every 2 days if I forgot to charge them once but I choose to charge the case fully for work at night and I've never had the charging case even blink red. They're literally working all day and I switch them back and forth. Not a glitch or anything and the battery life is still top notch and sound quality has not dipped at all. I'm even more baffled that I use them the way I do and they still work like new 5 months later. I actually came here to buy another pair so I can leave a pair at work and one at home so I'm not using one pair to death the way I currently do. Buy em. I have a buddy who has the 10mm driver's and they're not as good as these. If your doom scrolling through Amazon looking for the right ones I'm telling you try these. It's barely $20 if you don't like em you only spent $20 but I'm 100% honest with my review and highly recommend buying these. Your welcome

These headphones will likely sound boomy/overly bassy and a bit muddled if you don't take advantage of the easy-to-use Soundcore app to adjust the EQ. Personally I do like the extra bass, and to my surprise I found using the "Treble Boost" EQ actually brings some much needed clarity and gives a very fun "V-shaped" sound signature to these headphones. The highest-praise I can offer: if I could only keep one pair of headphones out of the 8-10 most recent pairs I've used (of varying styles/prices/wired/wireless), these A20i are my favorite and most versatile. For the price I am absolutely pleased! Quality note: I consider myself an amateur audiophile, so a decently accurate sound as well as adequate bass/treble/detail is a requirement for my enjoyment. Thankfully with using the "Treble Boost" EQ setting the boomy bass is suddenly gone and vocals are present and clear, the bass still kicks very well for a variety of genres (electronic, metalcore, pop, dubstep, rock). The soundstage and separation might be a bit lacking for the most technically demanding musical tracks, but I listen to a lot of fast and heavy rock and always love the sound I get from these headphones. Its overall sound has a warm-softness that never fatigues my ears either, I only stop listening because I need to do something else, not because of discomfort, battery life, or tiresome overly-bright top-end treble (these are completely free of that issue!). The comfort is top-tier, never felt uncomfortable wearing these for long listening sessions. The battery life is very good as well, as those long sessions never had me worried about battery. The touch controls are customizable in the app and work pretty well After struggling with another pair of wireless buds some months ago, I was very pleased at how easily these connect and disconnect from my phone. These are so much easier to use and to say they "just work" is simple and accurate. Pair them and you're golden, never had a connection issue or other complaint! The mic quality is apparently a bit weird according to the couple phone calls I've taken with these, but for music/video/games these are quite a treat! Just experiment with those EQ options and enjoy! Last note, I'm glad these had some waterproof capabilities, as I was able to enjoy hours of music while caught out in some light rain to whole time. There is so much value to be found here in these headphones and any minor gripes (mic quality?) are easy for me to overlook personally, as everything else about them brings me lively, musical joy!

Well! Had these for (at time of writing) about three months now. I have two pairs of Soundcore earbuds, this A20i and the A40's. The A40's have been flawless. These? Not as much. This could be a result of me using them for sleeping (I'm not doing that with the A40, and I'm absolutely not buying the sleep pair of earbuds, both are too pricey for me to do that!), but I do have a couple downsides with the A20. The first issue, the right earbud has ended up with a bit lower volume than the left after a few weeks of use, and I can't seem to figure out why. There doesn't seem to be any blockage in the mesh itself, from what I can see. Otherwise it's marginal, I notice it, but it's not the end of the world. The second issue, which seems to be a trend with these case designs for wireless earbuds in general, is the charging. It doesn't always engage, or the earbuds are never fully seated to the charger correctly, so they'll end up as being active, despite being in the case. Especially with the left earbud from my instance. I even drop it in to let the magnets do the job, and sometimes that may not work on the first try. Otherwise, sound quality is what you'd expect $20-$30 earbuds to sound like. If you're like me and you have the A40's, you can definitely tell that the A20s are lower quality when you swap back-to-back. But again, that's just how low-cost earbuds are in general. But they're not awful quality! Very passable for the price. I've gone the whole night with the earbuds playing from a full charge and still have about 60% left in the morning - after roughly 7-8 hours. Although some of it could be off/on playback and just standby from nothing playing. Otherwise, since these are under warranty, I'll likely look to get a new set of these earbuds (hi Anker Customer Service, if you're reading this!) Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the product, no disrespect meant, definitely no anger, I just use this differently than what might be expected of typical use. So all in all, your milage may vary depending on how you use the buds.

I've had these for about a year now and I like it. I think the sound in the right ear went down a little but it's still good. It's great value for your money.

I bought these for my husband who uses them all day long everyday at work. He doesn't take the time to recharge his ear buds so needed some he doesn't have to charge often and could use all day long. These work and were affordable as well. He loves his earbuds. He rarely has to charge them even with hours of use. The sound quality is awesome too, love the noise cancelation. I will tell you though if you have trouble fitting earbuds these might not work great for you. I cannot get them to stay in my ears, but he has no issues, so it just depends on the person.

Nice sound ! 😃

I recently purchased the Soundcore By Ankee A20i Wireless Headphones, and they have exceeded my expectations, especially given their budget-friendly price. The sound quality is impressive, with clear highs and deep bass that rival more expensive models. The headphones are comfortable to wear for extended periods, thanks to the cushioned ear cups and adjustable headband. The Bluetooth connectivity is seamless, and I've experienced no issues with signal drops or lag. The battery life is another highlight, lasting up to 20 hours on a single charge, which is perfect for long trips or daily commutes. Additionally, the built-in microphone provides clear voice calls, making it versatile for both entertainment and work purposes. Overall, the Soundcore By Ankee A20i Wireless Headphones offer exceptional value for money. They deliver high-quality audio, comfort, and reliable connectivity at a fraction of the price of premium brands. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for great performance on a budget.

I'm blown away by the soundcore Wireless Bluetooth Headphones by Anker! As an audiophile, I was skeptical about wireless headphones, but these exceeded my expectations in every way. The sound quality is crystal clear, with deep bass and crisp highs. The adjustable EQ is a fantastic feature, allowing me to customize the sound to my liking. The battery life is impressive, lasting a full 28 hours on a single charge. I've used them for long flights, gym sessions, and even in the rain (thanks to the waterproof design) without any issues. The 2 microphones with AI work seamlessly, making hands-free calls and voice commands a breeze. What truly sets these headphones apart is the value for money. At this price point, I was expecting some compromises, but Anker has delivered a premium product that rivals much more expensive brands. The build quality is solid, and the design is sleek and stylish. I've tried other wireless headphones in the past, but these are hands-down the best. If you're in the market for a reliable, great-sounding, and affordable pair of wireless headphones, look no further. The soundcore A20i is a game-changer - don't hesitate to buy!
