No. You can sit in armchair and pedal away comfortably and watch TV at the same time. It works a treat.

Can this be used on a carpeted floor? Would it slip?

Hello Matteo, Even on a carpet floor, the Mini Bike will not slip during your leg workout, if you sit in a good upright position on a high enough chair with a good backrest. The bike itself is fairly light (5 kg), so a slouched position (i.e. on a low couch) will put your legs in a less ideal angle that can push the bike away from you, when the underground does not offer hold for the rubber stoppers on the feet of the Mini Bike.If you have any further questions, you are welcome to reach out to our customer service team: service.uk@ultrasport.net.Kind regards,Team Ultrasport (Ultra24Shop)

I'm finding it impossible to fit one of the pedals. Did anybody else had this problem. if yes, what did you do to fix it?

The pedals are differently threaded. If clockwise don't work - then try anti-clockwise.

What does the distance measure in km or miles ?

They say it's Kilometres but 1000 pedal revolutions reads as 0.2 - there's no way that's actually 0.2 Km because that translates to a wheel radius of about 3cm.
