This buckle works great for putting the prong collar on/off the dog. I can't imagine having to unlock the links, especially on a large, heavy duty collar. We took the protective cover off to make it easier to use. In cold weather, it was extremely hard to use, and the spring lock is so tight really isn't necessary. Even though somewhat expensive, it makes using the collar so much easier and as we walk our dog several times a day, almost a necessity.

These fasteners make using the standard sized H&S prong collars so much easier on your fingers and they're so convenient. These things make it insanely rapid to take the collars on and off. I don't know why Herm Sprenger won't just include these ClicLocks on all of their prong collars right from the factory. Just like the prong collars, inexpensive? No. Worth it? Yes. Only nitpick: The plastic cover that slides over the button falls off constantly. We got sick and tired of putting it back on and just permanently removed them from the ClicLock buckle. Much better now.

I bought the 2.25 lock buckle for my prong collar. Which I should have purchased the 3.0. This is very well made. This prong lock makes it easy to put on & off the collar. It’s actually a blessing. I hate taking the prongs apart, or some collars have a tiny lock that you can hardly grip onto

This was a much needed addition to our herm sprenger collar. It makes putting the collar on and taking it off easier. I have it 4 stars because the plastic guard that is supposed to sit over the button kept falling off when the collar was unclipped. We ended up just leaving it off. It seems fine, but would have preferred to have the guard in place as intended. Only other thing I didn’t realize is that with the style of collar we have for our dog there is only one place you can put this clip, which is where the two directions of prongs meet. There is no way to change it but I wish the connection could be towards the top of the collar so we’re not trying to clip it together at the underneath of our dogs neck.

Oh how I wish I had known about this sooner. The arthritis in my hands made it near impossible to pinch the collar’s prongs. And my poor puppy would cower whenever I tried to get her in or out of the collar. Now it takes me a second to put the collar on or take it off. It literally put the joy back into going for a walk. And any fears that I had about the clip accidentally coming undone were quickly set aside when I saw how it’s made. It has a built in guard which slides over the release mechanism. I highly recommend this clip. It’s a game changer😊 Update: After using this clip for about 6 weeks a problem has developed. The plastic guard which slides over the release mechanism has worn loose and now falls off when I’m putting the collar on the dog. To prevent this I have to hold the clip in place while I fasten the collar. It almost requires three hands. To be honest, it’s a pain in the butt. However, once the collar is fastened the clip and guard work well. It seems to be a design flaw.
