Works!!
For me this product has been incredibly easy to apply and I’ve noticed a drastic difference in slippage on my tile floors for my almost 18 yr old dog. He’s had a couple incidents recently of splaying on the tile and being unable to get up or out of the position. Well, two incidents that I know of, because I witnessed them, and he was unable to get up until I came to his rescue. Definitely makes me nervous to leave him home alone, which thankfully is rare anyway since my husband works from home. This product works! After applying and drying, he walks normally on our tile floors. if it is hard to rub on during colder temperatures , just take a blow dryer to it for a couple minutes and it softens right up. I’m going to be extra cautious due to his age and double do it by gluing on some rubber toe grips too. They also work but fall off too easily unless they are glued. I bought both the toe grips and the paw grip at the same time and tested them separately. Both work, but the toe grips were $40! I reapply the paw grip each night at bed, and think with glued on toe grips my 18 year dog (come March) will be equipped with everything he needs (pads and nails) to securely walk around.

Didn't Live Up to Expectations
I bought this for our 14 year Min-pin that was having trouble getting traction on our hard wood and tile floor. Unfortunately, it not only didn't help but made her grip worse. The wax is really hard so it doesn't apply easily. Once you do get some on the paw pad, it's greasy and makes their feet even more slippery. And sadly by the time the greasiness is gone, so is the wax. I would not recommend this but instead some type of boot, sock, or shoe for traction.

Disappointed
Does not work as well as the granules. I have to keep reapplying every morning. My old German Shepherd gets up and walks around the house to a different spot frequently. The residue wears off fast. I bought two of these wipe-ons, but think I'm just going to go back to a different product I used before with a type of rubber cement and granule powder. The granules method is a pain to apply, but it lasts longer and works better. *You get what you pay for."

This works if you apply it correctly
I’m surprised by the number of negative reviews for this product. It has worked well for us. If you apply too much wax or don’t give it time to absorb into paw pad the paw will not have much, if any, grip. I have found more of this product does not equal more grip, quite the opposite. After you apply a moderate amount and it has has had a few minutes to absorb though the result is a layer of grippy wax left on the paw. It takes a few minutes and requires pretty frequent reapplication hence the 4 instead of five star rating but it’s keeping my neuro dog upright on slick floors. No other product from stickers to socks to nail grips has been able to help her. I will continue to buy it.

Paw Grip Stick
At the suggestion of the Pet Boarding Service we utilize, we purchased this paw grip for our oldest furry friend. He injuried his rear leg somehow and became very timid to walk on hardwood floors or tile floors.. they suggested paw grip that is applied as a stick paste. At first our dog wasn’t fond of applying it to his paw pads, but he got used to it.. it helped him walk with confidence and helped him heal. Best investment we made to help our old guy, Riley.

Doesn’t work
I bought this excited to try on my small 11 pound miniature pincher. He is afraid of hardwood floors because his paws slip. It is impossible to apply because it is so firm as a stick. I tried rubbing it on my fingers and then putting it on his paws. It’s pretty much just a firm lotion bar. So I’m not sure how it’s supposed to help him not slip. Save your money and give this a skip.

Wax Does NOT Prevent Slipping
Wax makes things more slippery. It doesn't prevent slipping. I don't understand why anyone would think that wax would prevent slipping. To be honest, I didn't know that this thing was made from wax until I received it. When I saw that it was wax, I was a little skeptical about it but I thought I might try it anyway. My dog recently got a leg amputated and I thought this product would be good to try out because I have tile floors and he often slips. I put it on his paws and as soon as he got up, he started slipping like crazy! He couldn't stand or walk without help! I made sure that the wax was dry before my dog stood up; it doesn't work.
