Review: Try this shape if you didn’t like the fettuccine shape. - It’s the perfect pasta alternative! The rice shape is obviously just cut up small to resemble “sort of” like rice, but the main benefits of Konjac root/ Shirataki are it’s zero carb, high fiber, low glycemic index and barely any calories. And it is mild in flavor so it takes on whatever sauce you add to it. We even made it with velveeta Mac and cheese sauce and really enjoyed that with some tuna mixed in! Directions for heating are so easy; rinse for a minute, microwave for a minute or to desired temp, then drain in netted strainer afterward to get rid of the extra water. I did the pan fry once, but didn’t find it that much different than just microwaving it, both are super quick and easy. Anyway you can use it just like rice or pastina, and imo it’s better than the thicker noodle Konjac pastas, which I find sometimes have a weird crunch. This rice shape is the way to go and really works well for someone trying to reduce calories and not have fluctuating blood sugar like me. Judge for yourself, but I think it’s a great pasta or rice substitute!

A: I just asked for a return, today. Technically, it's not returnable, but since they sent the wrong shaped pasta, they just refunded me and I didn't have to return. Just go to the order, hit return, it'll tell you that you can't, but will offer more help via chat. Do that. You don't even have to "talk" to a real person. Easy peasy,

**Q: What is country of manufacture?**
A: Ooooh.  I wish you hadn't asked, but at the same time, very glad you did.  I just pulled out a packet to look.    It's "distributed" by Skinny Pasta LLC, Suffield, CT  ... BUT, "Product of P.R.C"  SO, I won't be buying it again.  However, Amazon does have one that's made in the USA that I've tried and liked:  Skinny Shirataki noodles.  They have a bit of the fishy odor so you need to rinse them, but other than that they are terrific.  I need to remember to always LOOK to see where something comes from these days. **Q: how effective is the fettuccine at holding a sauce, such as pesto - on the pasta?**
A: This pasta comes in fluid filled pouches.  Pasta must be rinsed and drained before use.  In my opinion it didnt hold the sauce very well.  I am 78 years old and not at all used to this new wave of diet stuff.  My husband, 80 years old, did not like it.  Hope this is what you wanted.  Grandma

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but not perfect.

First, I ordered the rice shape, but received the noodle shape instead. Since I bought it to mix with chicken Curry, this wasn't a small issue, but I decided to try it anyway. The preparation was easy. The taste was as advertised - only the Curry could be tasted. The texture wasn't objectionable, but the noodles clumped together, and were difficult to eat in that dish. In a Spaghetti Meat Sauce, they may work better. I also noticed that while the noodles absorbed flavor just fine, they didn't duplicate the liquid absorption I enjoy in rice. That's probably not a product flaw, but something a prospective purchaser should be aware of.
