It works great, but the price point is a bit high.
It is an awesome product! However, I will start making my own. It's a simple recipe, and I own literally approximately 140 to 150 pieces of cast iron that I use regularly for various meals. Given the amount of cast iron I own and use, "home-brew" is the way to go. But, if you have not more than 5 to 10 pieces of cast iron, this a great solution. Just my humble experience.

BEST & EASIEST PQN SEASONING EVER. PERIOD!
I’ve used cast iron & carbon steel pans. I now stick to carbon steel solely. Large is, by far, not only the easiest, but also the most consistent & most even pan seasoning I e ever used. Period! I just bought 2 new pans also, one I left the preseason on, the other I stripped it & reseasoned with Larbee. The pan I seasoned looks just like the pre-seasoned one. It’s THAT clean of a season. And the BEST part is that it only took me 45 mins on the gas range top method (put a layer on turn gas flame on high, let pan heat to where the seasoning is smoking, let cool down, rinse & repeat 2 more times. Nothing sticks to my pans and I haven’t had to re-season since I did the initial seasoning. This is my brand new and forever ago to pan seasoning product. LOVE IT!

1. Works 2. Great smell
I really like this product. It makes it so much easier to season iron, but I think its even more valuable in 'after use' application. Just follow the instructions and bingo, a ready to use, beautiful pan is at your service :). I love the honey smell because even the leaf lard I used before has some lard smell, and was pretty close in price... Great product.

Larbee vs. Crisbee
I have tried both this Larbee and Crisbee. Hard to choose, as each has pros and cons. I think the Larbee leaves a better surface - it's smoother, and when you wipe off the excess while seasoning, leaves a microscopically thin layer which is what you want. Having said that, I am taking off one star because the Larbee can add a flavor to your food especially the first time you cook after using Larbee to season; there is a hint of pork fat taste which I do not like. Crisbee has a neutral taste. That faint taste of the Larbee disappears after about 2 pan uses, but if you cannot tolerate that taste at all, then get the Crisbee. I also prefer the Stik version to the puck tin. It is so much easier to wipe onto the pan a very thin, even, consistent layer with the Stik.

Finally, seasoning that works
Love, love, love this. Has really made a difference in the seasoning on my cast iron. I've tried everything Crisco, lard, canola, flax, Lodge spray, etc- you name it, I've tried seasoning my extensive cast iron collection with it. All had disappointing results. This is the only thing I've found that works right. Nothing sticks to my cast iron after a couple of layers of Larbee with proper maintenance and care. I prefer this to the Crisbee, which has palm oil. Even though this companies palm oil is ethically sourced, I still avoid using it as a rule.

Best cast iron seasoning
I love my cast iron working hard to keep it in great shape. I’ve used other seasonings but this stuff is by far the best! I love the stick making it very easy to apply and I love the smell! A touch of bees wax. I bought 2 sticks this time so I don’t run out.

Not as convenient as expected
Initially, I thought this was a great idea, but quickly found that a cooking spray such as Pam coconut oil spray is much easier to apply, a lot less messy, a lot less wasteful, and just as effective. The bar gets contaminated with used grease and grit if you are rolling the bar on to your cast iron directly, and if you are not careful, can also melt the plastic housing, contaminating your skillet. You also cant leave the bar in a hot car or it will melt and create a huge mess (I primarily use my cast iron while camping).

It's money!
If you have a cast iron pan or a carbon steel pan this is the best thing you can get for it. I use my pans 3-5 times a week. I used to use Crisco to season it but using the larbee stick is way better. Highly recommend it and I am definelty buying it again once I run out. I use it ever time I use my pans to keep it nice and slick. You can even fry eggs on it!! Make sure you give it a good seasoning ahead of time. I also wash the pans with soap and water and then do a light maintenance seasoning.

Works well seasoning my cast iron pan.

Product or what has been salvaged was great - unfortunately the shipper decided to obviously leave the product in an outside storage facility with no AC prior to delivery in a country where the ambient outside temp is over 45deg C… not much product left when I got it.
