I purchased the Corona Garden tool sharpener on a recommendation from a YouTube video that was not sponsored. My gardening shears were dull and I was feeling rather frustrated and nearly bought be ones. However, after a few seconds of swiping the tool along the blade of the shears, they were as sharp as the day I bought them. Best investment for this gardener. As an additional note, the YouTube video recommended taking the shafts apart with a special tool but didn’t exactly show how to perform that task or put them back together if I had so I opted to sharpen while the shears were intact. This tool allowed me to access pretty much the entire blade whereas items like knife sharpener blocks, or bulky sharpeners only allowed me to sharpen just the tip of the blade.

I never used anything like this, sad it didn’t come with any direction on how to used it. Found some on line. I don’t think I’m doing it correctly. It did sharpen item. For a bite but went dull half way through my day of using it. It has a good grip didn’t slid in my hand when using it. It seems to be durable. I did learn it work great with flint to creat a fire. I’ll try again or just buy new ones.

This thing was recommended by a local arborist we’d called to help with a privet hedge that was going wild and attempting to take over the world. (You know how those things are.) She was sharpening a pruning tool with one of these and showed me how it worked. I tried it and had to get one. Listen: yes, this sharpens pruners, but it worked so well, I started trying it on other (non-serrated) blades. Ancient, beloved and beatup pocket knife that was now at the approximate level of sharpness as a coin? Oh yeah: made that thing slice paper! Scalpel used for various crafts? Definitely! I could do surgery with that thing now (if they’d let me, which they won’t, something about “blah blah practicing medicine without a license blah blah sepsis.” FINE, be that way!). Best of all, my trusty wood-carving knife (which, after whittling away on soft and hard woods, had become about as useful as a block of wood itself) was renewed to its former glory using this tool (and I have the “oops” scars to prove it). Heck, I’ve even tried it on nail clippers and tweezers (with somewhat mixed results, but they do get sharp). It may take a bit of getting used to, but really, it just comes down to sweeping the tool at a very slight angle along the blade’s edge, then doing the other side in the opposite direction. I kind of eyeball the blade and see if there are any nicks or bumps, and that tells me if I need to keep going, focus on that area, etc. The reason I’ve bought several of these is that they’re like dryer socks: they disappear occasionally for some reason. (Maybe the house is haunted by the ghosts of arborists past and they really need their tools sharpened? Who can say!) Other than that, this tool is fantastic and I use it all the time. I also make sure to have a couple of spares so the “ghosts” don’t get them all. This is one of those things that if you can figure out how to use it, you’ll want one forever. Highly recommended.

Wow! I've been married for 40 years. Every year, I have to have my husband sharpen my pruners. I have a half dozen or so and, good thing, because relying on him to sharpen them in the same season? Ha! Forget it🤣! Seriously though, this sharpener is great. Easy to handle, to use, cool little rubber cap to protect the *stone*. And it's RED, which is great because I won't lose it! This works like a charm to sharpen my pruners. I clean, sharpen and oil them all myself now. I love it! Price point is great as well. Highly recommend!

Sirve muy bien para afilar tijeras y hasta pelapapas!!! Imagino también cuchillos pero no lo he usado para ese fin. Para que realmente funcione, tienes que afilar ambos lados de las tijeras y de los pelapapas o de cualquier herramienta de corte que desee afilar. (salvó mi pelapapas, corta como nuevo).

Gleich nach dem Erhalt, habe ich das Teil ausprobiert. Als erstes habe ich unsere Haushaltsschere damit geschärft. Sehr gutes Ergebnis. Als zweites habe ich unsere Gartenschere damit bearbeitet. Auch hier ein super Ergebnis. Ich bin begeistert. Ich kann dieses Werkzeug sehr empfehlen. Der einzige kleine Nachteil, die Nutzerhinweise sind in "allen" Sprachen ausser Deutsch. Aber wozu gibt es Translater.

Of all the various sharpening tools and systems I own and I own lots (Bench grinders, water stones, ceramic stones, sand paper, etc) this is my favorite sharpening tool. Why? It is a compact but highly effective tool. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. I have already used it on two kitchen knives and three pruning tools, and it performs exceptionally well on all of them. It is very easy to operate and offers excellent value for money.
