It seems as if my search for the perfect belt will continue, which is a shame because I thought I had finally found it. With that being said, there is a lot of positive about my experience with this belt. First off, customer service was great. When my belt initially arrived, it had three diagonal scratches across the leather, which was kind of odd. I knew this was just an anomaly, so I emailed the company and they immediately sent out a replacement strap, no questions asked. Now, I know this may sound odd, but these scratches actually gave me hope as to the quality of this belt. My previous belt wound up getting these vertical white scratches on it, which are very noticeable on a black belt. The scratches on the one sent to me, however, retained their black color, so I had hoped that any minor scratches it would acquire while I was wearing it would be the same. Additionally, the strap is actually 100% leather, which is nice. This is my second ratchet-style belt, and I find it hard to believe I will ever go back. They pretty much guarantee a perfect fit and there is no worry about the hole-stretching problem a traditional belt has. It also gives a slicker overall appearance. I also enjoy the fact that you quickly expand your belt or completely disengage it with a single hand. However, this belt is still not as durable as I need. I work night audit at a hotel, so I need to look nice while being relatively active. Unfortunately, this belt did not hold its appearance for more than a couple weeks. The same vertical white scratches that appeared on my previous belt also showed up on this one (admittedly, I have no idea what is causing them! They always show up on the back of the belt and I rarely am leaning back against something). As some other reviewers have mentioned, the black finish on the buckle has also begun to wear off. This, I know, is from leaning over counters and bumping into their edges as I'm scurrying around. Now, I do still love this belt and they have certainly earned my business. I may try a different style to see if I can prevent the buckle wear. They also look absolutely stunning, so if you are considering this just for formal wear, I would highly recommend them! Whether or not these will continue as my work belt remains to be seen, but I will definitely look to them for my other belt needs!

My old bet was wearing out after many years of wear, so I figured that it was time to invest in a new one. I was looking for a design that would work for casual wear, but could also be a little dressy as well. I stumbled across this design on Amazon, and had never seen a ratchet-style belt before. The buckle looked sharp, and there were many nice designs to choose from, so I went for it. I'd only ever bought belts from off the rack at department stores before, so when I received the package, I was a little surprise to see that the buckle and belt, itself, were separate from each other. It was a simple matter of locking the belt into the buckle, and the hold is very secure. I also like that the option to cut down the belt to a shorter length is there, too. The materials used all seem to be of a high quality. As I stated above, I'd never used a belt of this sort before, so it took a few seconds to figure it out, but it was so cool to hear that fast clicking "ratchet" sound as I adjusted the belt to fit my waist. There are a series of notches on the inside of the belt that lock against a mechanism on the inside of the buckle, itself, and they hold snugly and securely. If you've ever had the issue with a normal hole-style belt, where one hole is too tight on your waist, and the other isn't tight enough, look no further, because the notches are spaced so closely together, that you just pull the the desired tightness, and it's perfect every time. When you need to remove the belt, there's a small lever release on the bottom of the buckle. Simply pull it outwards with your finger, and open the belt. Nothing could be easier. I've never been so satisfied with a belt before, and I'll definitely be back, because this brand has impressed me.

If your on the fence about buying one of these belts, just do it. You won't regret it. I thought about buying one of these for well over a year. I finally decided to to it and I'm sorry I waited. It works exactly as it should, and makes for precise adjustment and makes for a more comfortable belt. You can trim it to fit you, so it's even customized to your body. The buckle is a bit heavier and bulkier than most normal belts, but I honestly don't notice it at all while wearing it. The finish on the buckle is nice and I think it makes it look like a much more expensive belt. I really can't find anything bad to say about it. I even like how it was packaged. It came inside a small box made to fit it perfect and was also inside a protective bag inside the box. I have been using the belt for several weeks and I have had no issues. I can't say this will last as long as a normal belt because of the adjusting mechanism, but it does seem like it should hold up for a long time, and the price is just right.

This is a review Of THIS BELT and the quality of it NOT a review of the "Ratchet Belt" design. I did post what I think of ratchet belts below for anyone who is curious, but it in no way effects the review of this specific one. This is a Solid belt, I wasn't going to review the belt until it's good and worn in, but 2ish months in and Its still as nice as the day I got it. The leather is easy to size/cut and the ratchet is simple, and after a lot of use it still works as smooth as ever. The buckle itself has a cool design, in fact this is the only time I've had a belt that got compliments. So from my eyes they have a great quality product. Will Edit if it rapidly falls apart. Thoughts On ratchet belts If you have never tried a ratcheting belt before. The concept is worth ALL the stars, it's more comfortable, you can adjust it in seconds rather than having to go the bath room unbuckle, then hope the slot you pic will work.. With this it's as simple as pull until you reach a comfy spot. Ate a big meal and now it's too tight, un-couple and go down a couple clicks and its separated by very little increments, so you can always have it at your perfect size..

I LOVED this belt and wore it pretty much daily, but it broke on me recently. The rivets that hold the buckle to the clamp broke (in picture). I've had the belt for 22 months, so I almost got 2 years of use out of it. I've never had a belt break, so not sure if I should feel like "I got my money's worth" or if it points to the poor quality of the belt. If you would have asked me a couple of weeks ago before it broke, would have said the quality was top notch. Could be I got a defective one or had done something to loosen the rivets, but wanted to write a review in case others have had this problem. Positives: I really liked the way the belt and the buckle looked (especially the buckle) and it was extremely easy to size and use. This was one of my first slide or click belts and haven't been able to go back to a normal belt since. Negatives: The buckle was thicker than other slide/click belts I have, which I bet could be a complaint/issue for some people. It wasn't really an issue for me, but I did notice it when I would switch between this brand and another slimmer one. And of course the biggest negative of all is my favorite belt broke. I have a couple other belts from this brand, so will see how they hold up. Unfortunately, I haven't worn them as much since this was my favorite. So, I can't really provide additional information on the quality or to determine if this was just an unlucky circumstance. If you were looking at this brand and the price is right...probably worth the purchase. Could be I got a defective one or I did something to cause the rivets to loosen and finally break, but for me I will see how well the other belts I bought from this brand hold up before I purchase more.

Updated 12/2019 - i have used both of my belts for more than two years now and not one has had any issues holding up over time. i have come to like the design even more than at first. this past year i got really sick and after i finally got better i had dropped just shy of 40 lbs. none of my clothes fit and this belt was the only thing i could adjust to still fit me. these IMHO are great! this is my second belt and for all the right reasons! used to have to go through my old belts to find one that would fit best with fluctuating weight. last Christmas i got one of these. after the first month i had donated every single one of those belts, just kept my the new ratchet belt. i cut that one to fit a bit smaller than i should have. so when i gained a couple pounds over these just past holidays it was just shy the length i wanted. so i happily ordered a second. this time i was more careful and cut the belt length a little longer just in case i need it on down the road. so now as i lose weight both fit. next year if i indulge too much, i am covered both figuratively and literally by my newest ratchet belt. as to quality my first one is now over a year old with zero defects or problems. i wore it regularly and got used to being able to get a comfortable fit every single time. this newest belt addition is just as good as the original. both in my estimation are perfectly designed. i could not be happier with both.
