Good pencil's. We are happy with them. Expected to be softer. But we enjoy the variety of colours

Great Color Pencil Set!
With the name Derwent you expect to get a great set of colored pencils and these do not disappoint. They are soft, hence the name, so they blend well and also work great with my other pencils, Prismacolors, Polychromos, Lyra, Blick, dry Inktense and FC Albrecht Durer, Marco Renior, ect. Though Derwent pencils may cost a bit more at mid range price, though less expensive than Polychromos, remember the round barrel is large at 4mm and for me I find them comfortable to hold, more so than thin hexagon pencils. They are not scratchy feeling at all and because they are soft, if your on the heavy handed side like I tend to be, you might have to sharpen a bit more if you need a super fine pointy tip. I would highly recommend these to anyone who loves this medium and would suggest purchasing here at Amazon. If you watch the price, you can get a great deal, I paid $12 more here a few months ago than the $65 price shown today. I think they are worth the investment of the extra cost than purchasing a cheaper but much less quality set of pencils, even for coloring book addicts, like any task or "job", you will find yourself enjoying it so much more, example coloring or creating a masterpiece, when you have the right tools. FYI this is my own opinion, I haven't earned the privilege of receiving free or discounted products on Amazon so I WAS NOT given these free or discounted but purchased with my hard earned money and I still would highly recommend these to the casual coloring book artist or the professional artists. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do, give them a try I don't think you will regret. Happy Creating!

Best pencils for blending, beautiful colors
I previously owned a much smaller set of Prismacolors, and used those as my sole art pencils. I found them quite disappointing, and as a result did not do many illustrations with colored pencils. While searching on Amazon for Derwent Inkense pencils (which I also highly recommend), I came across these. I saw many rave reviews, and the 72 set was priced very low at the time, so I decided to give colored pencils a second try. I am very happy I did!! These pencils are incredibly smooth, and blend so nicely. My only complaint is that they don't come in a bigger set, because I would love more colors (even though I can blend to get them, I honestly cannot get enough of these pencils). The color selection of the 72 set is excellent, and has plenty of both bright and more natural tones. They are not really designed for detail work, however, I have been able to sharpen mine to a nice point, and do a little detailing so long as I am careful about my pressure. I completely recommend these to any artist, and also to anyone interested in using/trying colored pencils. A smaller set of these is not horribly expensive, and they are easy to blend with, and overall quite pleasant to use. The pencils themselves look nice, and the tin they come in is also very sturdy and attractive.

The product itself is amazing. I've been using these pencils for a few years. The colors are beautiful, and blend with ease. I used these on hand crafted Christmas cards and doll repaints. The product is well worth the money. I order this set of pencils for my mom, as she has been coloring in adult coloring books. My only issue was with the shipping. Although I received this in a very timely manner, it was only wrapped in a thin bubble wrap and tape. When I opened it, the tin case was bent and taped with packing tape holding it shut (this indicated that it was obviously already damaged before shipping). I couldn't get the packing tape off, so I had to cut the tin open. At this point I thought the tin might just be damaged, but maybe the pencils would be fine and I could just find another container (kind of defeats the purpose of a nicely organized storage tin). What was inside the tin just angered me. The pencils had obviously been used. Some were shorter than others from being sharpened, and a few colors were missing having been replaced with duplicate colors. This gift I ordered through Prime, for my mom, whose birthday was in a few days, arrive a HOT MESS. I immediately called Amazon, because let's get real, during the pandemic, Amazon has been a go-to for anything and everything for a LOT of people. Out of the hundreds of items I've ordered in the past year, I've only had a handful of issues. Amazon immediately sent out a replacement that arrived the next day...it was in perfect condition and just in time for my mom's birthday. Product - 10 Shipping - 1 Amazon's redemption - 10

He acertado de pleno.

Wow, these really are between a wax pencil and a soft pastel pencil. I am not an artist, I just use these in adult colouring books. I find they go on lighter than Prismacolour Premiers which makes them easier to blend. I still love my Prismacolour for their punch of colour, but sometimes it can be harder to blend with Prismacolour Pencils due to the strong pigmentation in them. The colours in the 72 set are gorgeous. I am using them along side my Prismacolours to colour in my Secret Garden Colouring Book. Below are my results working with the pencils. Coloursoft stays sharp longer than Prismacolour Premier Coloursoft goes on lighter which makes them easier to layer than Prismacolour Premier The cores are larger than Prismacolour Premier Coloursoft is make in the U.K., Prismacolour is made in Mexico Coloursoft and Prismacolour are both wax based Both brands are artist quality and have excellent lightfastness Coloursoft offers 72 colours, Prismacolour Premier offers 150 colours Coloursoft and Premier pencils work well together It is a matter of personal style and taste which brand you will prefer. Lots of people complain prismacolours break when sharpened, I have not found that to be the case. However, I will say the Colorsoft Pencils last much longer than Prismacolours. If you are addicted to colouring like I am, then you can never have too many pencils around.
