Does this last 4 or 5 hours?

Depending on how the charcoal is lit (how fast, any other materials used, etc), the length of burn time can vary but on average we have seen 5 hour burn times (sometimes more, sometimes less). Peak burn time at highest temperature would be less naturally - similar to any wood or charcoal. Thanks for your question!

Do you have to use lighter fluid

Hello! We do not recommend using lighter fluid due to its chemicals. We recommend using a charcoal starter square/strip of some kind with no chemicals present. Simply place a few starters throughout the charcoal bed, light them, and they should stay lit for a few minutes getting the charcoal fired up!

can these be used in a wood burning stove?

I don't see why not - they don't emit much smoke.
