Inspired by late 14th-century fashion, this long, full gown is made from a polyester velvet and is accented with contrasting trim, back lacing, and satin lining on the tippets. The back of the gown laces up, and features a fold-over flap under the lacing so if the gown separates behind the laces, your back is not exposed. The sleeves feature satin-lined tippets hanging down from the upper arm and a more fitted lower arm. This gives the look of wearing both an over- and under-dress. The dress is fitted down to the waist and then flares out from the hips in a voluminous skirt that drapes beautifully. The velvet of the dress is a regular, smooth velvet (it is NOT crushed or panne velvet). This gown is somewhat flexible in terms of sizing. There is a slight give to the velvet it is made from, so it can stretch between sizes if need be. The following measurements are the approximate unstretched measurements of the garment.
