Review: Gets rid of my dogs eye crusties - These soft chews have really helped with my dog’s eye crusties. After using them consistently, I noticed less buildup and cleaner-looking eyes overall. My dog eats them without any issues, which makes giving them daily easy. I like that they work from the inside out and have made a noticeable difference over time. Definitely keeping these in our routine.
Review: They worked well for us! Read the long tale though on how I got to that conclusion. - I've had mixed feelings on these. I got a rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel beginning of Sept last. His eyes teared quite a bit, so I started the search for a solution. After trying some cleaners, I figured out I needed to try a feed through product. Never having had a dog with a tearing problem, this was new. At first I gave them full strength as directed for a couple days, one cube for 15-50lb dog (mine is 22lbs). My dog got HORRIBLE diarrhea, the type that turned to strawberry jam, super scary!!! Luckily I was able to get it stopped before I had to take him into the vet. After a week of only boiled turkey and pumpkin, we got his system back on track. I figured out I needed to give a MUCH smaller dose and work my way up. We went down to 1/4 cube for a week, then 1/2 cube for a week, 3/4 for a week and finally fill cube. So we used it til probably Christmas time befor I saw a marked improvement. I kept him on it that long because some of the reviews said it had taken that long. It was working by winter, but I wasn't sure if the lack of dust in the air (we live in a desert) was helping, or this. Also we'd tried a couple different high quality foods. Like I said, I wasn't sure if it was the angel eyes, snow keeping dust down, or diet change. After Christmas we took two trips (month total over 6 weeks time) to AZ, where it was dusty and basically like our place in summer. The tears didn't come back!!! Then I wasn't sure if it was the food he'd been on since Feb or not. When I ran out about the beginning of April, I didn't get more. Within a few days his tears were back. I ordered more angel eyes, and started him back on 1/2 cube dose. Wishing a few days his treats dried up again. Now it's mid May and he's still on the 1/2 dose. It's dusty again and the tears are still gone. These dry out quickly, and my dog doesn't want to eat them, no matter how tightly I close the top. The smallest jar is 4 months worth. So I don't feed them as treats, I just crumble them up into his food. He eats them no problem. Looong story summarized. You don't want to start the smaller dogs full dose, work it in slowly into the diet. They took about 3 months to kick in, but once they finally started to work, they really worked. After they start to work well, you may be able to reduce the dose as I was. And of course as some reviewers said, you may notice a difference in a matter of days, for us it was longer, but they do work.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do you think this would work on saliva stains around the mouth?**
A: For the sake of your pet, please don't use this product. Don't take my word for it, Google it. My dog's friend died from this stuff. There is an antibiotic in it that has never been approved for dogs or cats. Please look it up.

These are unapproved animal drugs that have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety or effectiveness. The tear stain removers contain an antibiotic called tylosin tartrate, which is not approved for use in dogs and cats, or for treatment of conditions associated with tear stains.

**Q: what is tylosin and which one is better with or without?**

**Q: The description says to sprikle it on the dog food, but the label says Dog Chews, Which is right?**
A: They are chews. Our dog is 4lbs so we give him 1/2 at night and that seems to work well.

**Q: Can I give this product to my two month Maltese?**
A: I don't know but I have been giving it to my 7 year old Maltese for about a month and her eyes are getting brown stains. Before that I had used the same product in powder form with much more success. I do not recommend this product at all

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Effective, but......
*by M***6 on June 8, 2024*

These SEEM to work, although my dog won't eat them unless I crumble them into his food. I have mixed reaction to this product: it has take the "red" out almost completely, but the tears still flow and harden on hair beneath eyes. I'm trying to decide whether to reorder.
