I have collected all of Shannon books about David. My grandson, who is now 4 years old, sell in love with these books at the age of 3. They have a great storyline & supporting pitchers that makes it easy if I have to comprehend itYes, he's now able to read all of david books

Great book for 4 year old
My 4 year old loved this book so much. He said he wants a lot of David books, so I'm going to order the other books. He giggled so much reading this book and it was cute to see him guess what was going to happen next. Showed me that he's already thinking of the results from actions, such as knowing that David was going to break the vase before we got to the next page.

No David in a Board Book--an easy way to introduce David to busy little hands.
The David books were a favorite of my kids growing up. They absolutely loved them. So now that I have grandchildren, I wanted to introduce them to David, and this board book was an easy way to do so without worrying that they would ruin the full-size version.I highly recommend all of the "David" books by David Shannon.

Funny and toddler loves it.
2 (young 2) year old loves it and asks for us to read it multiple times a day. I do add more words to it though, instead of just saying "no."For example when David draws on the wall, instead of reading "no, David!" I say, "no drawing on the wall, David. We draw on paper."

I wish there were more like this!! Perfect for my 2yo. He knows how to read it now. We read it 50x a day. It's been the most wonderful memory for us watching him love this book.

My Son Absolutely Loves David!
Oh my goodness, my son loves this book! The moment we read it together, he couldn’t stop laughing at all of David’s silly antics. The story is simple but so relatable for kids, and the playful illustrations really bring David’s personality to life. What I like most is that it teaches gentle lessons about boundaries and behavior in a way that’s fun, not preachy. My son asks for this book almost every night now—it’s quickly become one of his favorites.

My Boys Love this Book - BUT....
This is one of the favorites for both of my boys. It's the story of a typical boy being a boy, and a Mom being a Mom. I don't quite understand the negative reviews it receives for showing David being mischievous and being disciplined for it. As if the reviewers didn't expect to have to encounter topics such as disobedience and parental correction (yelling) that could somehow be traumatizing to their children. The title of the book should be a dead giveaway as to its content. However, it should be pointed out that there are, at least for me, two items of questionable content to be aware of. (spoiler alert)1. After taking a bath, David runs down the street as naked as he was born (shown from the backside).2. While picking his nose, there is a hidden 4-letter-word displayed diagonally in the text of the page:STOPTHATTHISINSTANTThe font of the page makes it practically jump out. Whether this was intentional or not, I can't believe it wasn't caught.Regardless of the above content, its a funny book with a good ending. My boys love it and I will continue to read it to them.

Kids hugged me after reading this book.
No, David! is one that struck a chord with both my 5 and 3 year old. The final page is so touching, and hit home for both my kids. They asked questions, talked about the book, and asked to be read again. It's a good book for parents too. Reminds you of a valuable lesson all parents need to remember.

Amazing!
My son found this series of books on YouTube and loved it so I brought this for him. He loves the character and the board book is very well made. It's a decent length at 32 pages and holds a child interest.
