My physical therapist uses this exact putty for hand exercises; I needed some to use at home and this is a good size. The storage tub works well and keeps it clean. It's not sticky - it's actually just slightly oily feeling, which is fine. Doesn't irritate my skin. There's enough putty for the hand exercises i was given to do.

Bought for my 92 year old mother. She plays with it every day while she is watching TV. Be sure to get the correct firmness for your needs. The Medium was too stiff so switched to the "soft" level to start with. Great price.

Great product

The red is good, works well and all. HOWEVER - I think it must be mis-labeled as 'soft', because in comparison - the green 'medium' is softer and more pliable. I only purchased the green and red and it's an easy comparison. ...nothing wrong with the red, it's just that the green is definitely softer and had I known, I probably would have tried the yellow instead.

I use theraputty to help my students with concentration and they LOVE it. (I work in elementary SPED -all grades.) You don't even need to give them a whole can. To save money, I just give each child a small chunk that they can fiddle with during class, and they keep it in a little baggie when not in use. It doesn't dry out and it is a minimally-distracting fidget that also helps them build finger muscles. Many of my students have thanked me for letting them use this tool and I've seen a huge gain in sustained focus for a few of my students. I just wouldn't use one that is too firm (soft is my go to) You can use it as an aid in reading (making chunks to tap out words with) too!

I use it for carpel tunnel syndrome. It works well and has a clean, neutral odor.

I've had mixed success with ordering Theraputty through Amazon. Unfortunately, Amazon throws all reviews for certain types of products together, so whether it's brand-name or off-brand, you'll not know until it arrives, or if you read the description and supplier very carefully. I was originally given Theraputty by my OT for recovery from a badly broken wrist - of course my right, dominant wrist! - and thanks to faithfully using this along with my other exercises twice a day for 6 months, I recovered full use of my wrist and hand, even though my surgeon predicted that I would not. After a number of months of heavy usage, the putty developed an unpleasant odor and I knew it was time to replace it. Unfortunately, I was not aware when I ordered a new batch, that it was an off-brand. Oily and stringy, ugh! I got a refund (no returns for this type of putty due to germs, no doubt). Then I researched what was actually being sold by Amazon and quickly learned about the off-brands. However, of you only order the Theraputty brand, you should get the real thing. That's what I ordered this time, and have given the lower rating because what I received was, I suspect a bad batch. It's supposed to be red-soft, but what this blob feels like is similar in stiffness to the green version. I've been given a refund and will reorder, but only after communicating with the seller. Buyer beware!
