Very high quality and easy to assemble. Never in my life have I received a product packaged and protected as well as this table! The glass is indeed 3/4 inches thick, as described, and the cherry finish on the legs is outstanding. It's more of a medium cherry color. Everyone who has seen my new table loves it! It is also cat approved. One of my cats likes to sit right in the middle and watch TV. He's a big cat and this table is very sturdy and doesn't move when he jumps up on it. Nor does it move when I shoo him off and he takes off! I have no regrets whatsoever with the purchase of this item.

Ok, so in the same spirit as many other reviewers I'll note several things: (1) The packaging on this thing is quite robust. This is a good thing given that you're receiving a solid piece of glass that's an inch thick and while I didn't personally weigh it, has to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 lbs. The glass was packaged in its own box, which was stapled/nailed tighter than....well you get the point. On top of this, was another securely sealed box with the two legs and the axle. These two items were stacked on one another and then sealed inside of a small crate for stability. Removing the crate was the hardest part so be prepared to have a hammer or a crow bar to pry them loose. Be care though as the glass, although thick, is still glass. All this was in turn wrapped in plastic wrap, covered in bubble wrap and then wrapped again in plastic wrap. All this is to say, you'll break a sweat getting this thing out of it's packaging, and if you don't have a hammer (like we did) then you'll just be S.O.L. (2) The glass is thick and heavy, so have at least one person help you move it on top of the legs. Speaking of the legs, I thought they would be a heavier wood, but they may just be walnut veneer. This doesn't detract from the overall quality or feel of the table. It definitely looks like the real thing. (3) I didn't receive any instructions on how to put the item together, but if you can manage to order the table online, you should, with a bit of trial and error, figure out how to attach the legs. If you can't, kill yourself. (4) Once we got the glass on the legs, the glass had a tendency to slide around a bit. Picture Tom Cruise from risky business in his tighty whities. We solved this problem by taking a couple of plastic thingys you put underneath a cabinet to make it level (I'll add pictures eventually) on the existing plastic thingys already attached to the legs. If you don't mitigate this, the glass will slide off at the slightest touch, most likely chipping or breaking the glass (this is especially true if you live and/or hang out with alcoholics). Final Thoughts: The table looks great. I have encountered a real table and the average consumer/house guest will not be able to discern a difference.

I have a H.Miller "original" Noguchi table. While moving it, I broke the glass. Replacement from local glass vendors was in the $700 range. I am very pleased with the glass in this table. It is almost identical to the original (it has a slight bevel on its edges, the original had none) and well worth the price. The table base is OK but doesn't really compare well to the original. I think it is solid wood but stained a cherry color; I don't think it's actually cherry wood. The pieces are held together by a long threaded steel rod and it has very small plastic feet. The H.Miller version has no visible holes so you can"t really figure out how it's put together. (there is an internal piece that holds the wood and the base looks like a single natural piece of wood, no plastic feet, no drill holes.) That said, this is a great deal for a classic look, and well worth it. Plus with free shipping and crazy good packaging, it's a steal.

After the first one I ordered mysteriously "disappeared" in UPS's system, Amazon customer service was nice enough to expedite another one to us overnight. The table arrived packed like no other package I've seen before. Both the base and the glass top were in their own boxes, but both boxes were strapped together under about 4 inches of bubble wrap and heavy duty shipping tape. The glass top was further insulated by a wood frame which tightly fit over the cardboard box it was sent in. I had help the UPS guy get it up our front steps into our house - the package was very HEAVY! After about 30 minutes spent unpacking everything, the moment of truth arrived. Assembly was easy, and the wood and glass are gorgeous. My wife and I were saying, "We love our table!" It really looks great in our living room. This is one purchase I'm very happy with. Two thumbs up!

Buying furniture online was a new experience for us, but the modern design of this "Noguchi"-style coffee table perfectly suited our new home. We took the plunge, and we have been delighted with there results. The table comes well packed, and the delivery company bought the table into the house for us. Note that the table is indeed 99 lbs., as described in the product description; almost all of the weight comes from the thick, tempered-glass top. You will need two people to unpack it and "assemble" it. Of these two tasks, unpacking required much more than assembly, since "assembly" consisted in simply putting the wooden base on the floor (with the small pads facing toward the floor) and then positioning the glass on top of the base (directly onto the wood -- no pads on this side). The unpacking process will require a means to pry apart the sturdy wooden frame that secures the glass top (extremely firmly!) in the packing case. We used the claw end of a claw hammer, but another tool such as a wonder bar might be better. The main technique was carefully applied brute force. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with this purchase.

I could not love this table more!! It's astonishing that such a high quality knock-off could be priced this low. I have friends who have a "real" Noguchi, and I swear this copy makes the same overall impact as the "original." It took about 45 minutes to wrest the thing out of its ridiculously epic packaging (packing tape, bubble wrap, wood, some really annoying styrofoam) -- which is actually good, because it's packed to arrive undamaged. And it took an additional 10 minutes for me to locate the single long screw that's necessary to assemble the table (taped unobtrusively to one of the legs). There are no assembly instructions, which was annoying, but it's pretty easy and once I googled images of the table, it was easy to see how the thing should look. The glass table top is thick and HEAVY, so even though it simply rests on top of the "legs" with no actual attachment, don't worry about it sliding around. I'm more than thrilled with this purchase, and if you're considering buying one, just do it. Trust me -- you'll be glad you did.

This is a beautiful designed table. It looks exactly like on the photos. It came within a few days and was easy to assemble. The thick glass top simply sits on top of the wood legs so the glass top will move if one pushes the table around. It was very unclear from the assembly instructions if this is normal or not. But every time I enter my living room I am so happy to see how beautiful this table is!

the table will fall apart any time the metal core that holds the two wood base parts together is loose and the heavy glass top moves back and forth upon touch ( yes I tightened it very good :))))... the grainage is cheaper looking than the picture . I had horrible time getting this product

My brother-in-law has this in his living now and it is beautiful. Arrived very quickly and was packaged appropriately. The glass is very think and gives a lot of confidence that it will stand up to almost anything. Very happy with this purchase.
