Best caulk gun I've used
I use a lot of caulk in my job and have used all the various caulking guns that are out there. Every time I'd encounter a new, or even slightly modified style of gun I'd have to buy it. I was continually searching for a better gun because all the guns I've used sucked. I really had given up hope for ever finding a decent caulk gun. Then I came across this Ergo-Tech thing from Dripless Inc. Finally! A caulk gun that is almost a joy to use. (I say almost because, let's face it, there ain't much joy to be had in laying down a bead of caulk.) I mainly use two types of sealants with this gun: Vulkem 116 and GE Contractors Silicone. This gun works great with both even though they are at opposite ends of the viscosity spectrum. Vulkem is very thick and can be tough to squeeze out especially on cold days. This gun's 18:1 work ratio and rubberized soft grip make it a breeze to expel even chilled Vulkem. On the other hand silicone can be too viscous and it's always eager to drip from the tube no matter what you do. But the Ergo-Tech's dripless feature really does work! You can lay down a line of silicone, release the trigger, and that's it. It stops! I was and still am impressed. Other features that make this a great a caulk gun are the convenient ladder hook, it's light weight, and it's ability to disengage the dripless feature (because many jobs are easier and faster with the dripless thing turned off.) I know some people may shy away from a gun that has it's main body made of plastic. But let me tell you this is not cheap, thin, flimsy breakable plastic. This is rugged, thick, industrial type polymer material. Strong yet lightweight. So far the only complaint I have about this product is the switch used to toggle between no-drip & drip modes doesn't snap into position firm enough. It tends to easily get bumped into the middle position between the two settings. Not really a big deal and it's something I can tolerate considering all the other pluses this item has going for it. I can't comment on the clean out rod (poker) or the tip cutter because I don't use them. I have a separate poker rod in my toolbelt specifically for breaking the seal on new tubes of caulk and as for cutting the tip of a new tube, well, everyone knows you have to use a razor-knife to get a cleanly cut tip in the shape you need it.

Pro grade caulk gun well made and can be used dripless
Professional grade caulking gun definitely worth the money

Best caulking gun ever
This is the best caulking gun I have ever used. It also makes it super easy for people who aren't experts. Easy on the hands, no carpal tunnel!. I highly recommend this. Allows you to use it easily one-handed and reaching as well

Good product but misnamed. See UPDATE!!! See 2nd UPDATE!!!
I have only used this caulk gun once, and my overall impression is very favorable. It seems well made and ergonomically far better than my old caulk gun. The high compression ratio makes it very easy to use. However, using Dap Alex caulk it was Drip-less, not Dripless. UPDATE 6 WEEKS LATER: The first caulk tube I used must have had a large bubble that kept it pressurized because I have used several different caulks since then and it is absolutely dripless. Today I used a high viscosity epoxy caulk that recommended a high thrust ratio: this gun handled it easily. I was filling some narrow, sometimes difficult to reach gaps and this gun made it easy. Not only were there no drips - which would have been a problem with epoxy - but the dripless feature allowed easy control of the amount entering the gap so that it filled but did not overfill. This is a great product. Update 4-5 years later: The gun has become MUCH less dripless. As a DIY homeowner I use it occasionally but not that much; maybe up to 2 tubes per year? All I can think of is that because of its limited use, oxidation has built up that might have worn away if I used it more. A shot of silicone lubricant didn't seem to help. I expect to be using high viscosity epoxy again in a couple months. It worked so well the first time that if it still drips it will be worth it to me to buy a new one.

Probably the nicest caulk gun I've ever had.
Well made...not like the cheap ones at the local HW store. I'm not sure anything is exactly dripless, but this one is as close as I've found...and maybe the 'close' is more my technique.

Wish I knew about this sooner
I have done plenty of caulk jobs with lesser quality tools. The moment I started using this one, it was plain to see just how much better control and easy to squeeze this one provided. I used a thicker caulk and this tool applied it without me having to take a break to get the stiffness out of my hand. My metal caulk gun would always get bent from the strain of thick caulk, but this one had no issues under the strain. The dripless mode is of course not perfect, but I have long come to expect that with most caulk applications, but the slight drip is still easily manageable. I did not expect the plastic body to hold up compared to metal but have had no issues thus far.

Cheap plastic - do not waste your time!
This is a POS plastic product. It broke upon first use, trying to squeeze out construction adhesive (LOCTITE PL Premium 3x Polyurethane Brown Multi-use Interior/Exterior Construction Adhesive). I only squeezed out a few inches of this adhesive before my old man's force squeezing the trigger caused the black plastic center portion to break away from the yellow body holding the adhesive cylinder. See the yellow body ring in pic that stripped off. What good is 18:1 mechanical leveage if the caulk gun breaks in first 15 minutes use? Junk. Buying made in America all-metal now.

Worth the money
Great tool with excellent build quality. It feels sturdy yet lightweight, making it easy to handle during long projects. The smooth trigger action and overall ease of use make applying caulk a breeze. A solid choice for any DIYer or professional.

For a professional finish.
Just get one. You'll wonder how you ever managed with the old crappy cheepo one you've used and cursed at for the past xxx years. Amazing how it works, adds some degree of quality to your efforts that's otherwise impossible. As soon as you leave go of the trigger, the gunge stops immediately, just the way you would want it. A bit dear, but it's worth it.

Fab bit of kit, if you do a lot of caulking like me! The trigger is light to use which puts less strain on your hand, it has a nozzle cutter and rod for clearing a blocked nozzle too that are integral
