Orbeez Expand Dramatically in Water ----------------------------------- When they add a packet of Orbeez to a of water, children can watch the tiny, hard orbs expand to up to 100 times their original volume, creating a of squishy, translucent, multicolored balls. Our testers found that the transformation process took about three to four hours with unfiltered tap water. The process was simple and mess free. Each Orbeez Color Packet contains approximately 150 Orbeez and will produce about 3/4 of a cup of grown Orbeez. The manufacturer recommends using filtered water to grow Orbeez--the purer the water is, the larger the Orbeez will grow. Grown Orbeez can maintain their form for weeks if kept in a closed container away from heat and light.
